[Is Union's most ~~desperate~~ talented up-and-coming idol dreaming about life on the stage? Not tonight, she isn't... no, tonight's menu is a trio of fairy-type tales:]

[A. Cyndaquilla]

[Here's Nico, so covered in soot from working day in and day out that they compare her to a cynadquill (yet still the prettiest one around of course), lamenting her misfortune to be trapped in such a mean household.]

All day I work, yet even after everything I've done, they still won't let me go to the dance party! Boo hoo, won't anyone take me away?

[Those sure are some crocodile tears as she hams this up for what it's worth]

[B. The Knight, the Princess and the Dragon-Type]

[Out of the cave comes rumbling a fearsome Hydreigon, three heads snapping. Before them, their hapless sacrifice: a beautiful ~~idol~~ princess tied to a stake, no chance of escaping them!]

Kyaaa! Save me!

[Are you a gallant knight come to rescue her? Or perhaps a wizard or a rogue? But before she can be reached, the dragon turns on her and unleashes a powerful dragon pulse right at her, blasting everything away in harsh blue light! And all that remains is charred ashes... and Nico, standing completely unscathed?]

Haha, didn't you know dragons can never beat magic!

[Oh right, she's part fairy-type.]

[That... that sure was a big, pink heart beam she shot at the Hydreigon... and it's super effective.

Did she really need a knight to begin with?]

[C. Queen of Darkness-types]

[And in a complete reversal of roles, have Nico, not in rags, not in torn princess dress, but in full ~~skanky~~ sexy leather with thigh-high boots and shoulder-length gloves that have all the material her tiny top and shorts don't ~~showing that she is the Etna of succubi as far as curves are concerned~~, sitting atop a huge, black throne in the flame lit hall. Completing the look are horns, wings, a tail and poor Kara, her murkrow, perched at her side, giving a few ominous caws while wondering why the heck does she have to play along with this?]

Now, kneel before me! Kneel, and I might spare you!

[Nico has the worst fantasies.]

[OOC: As a note, Nico may ~~finally~~ make use of some of her enlightened powers - as it stands, she can minorly/temporarily charm or otherwise emotionally manipulate people (think Charm or Fake Tears and the like).]

Nico's blissfully unaware of these consequences as she marches up the steps and into the hall]

Wow, it's so beautiful... [It's like, well... everything she ever dreamed of out of a fancy party and all that jazz] Now, where's the prince...

[ Who else would the prince be but one very handsome looking boy/girl, wearing a sharp looking tuxedo, looking just as lost as Nico, trying to find a princess amongst all the other girls there. ]

[She's looking, looking and HEY WAIT A SECOND]

Wh-wh-what are you doing here!?

Would my lady like to dance?

[ Maki simply bows, crossing her arm over her chest, trying to be as dashing as she can be. In her mind, this is all to embarrass Nico, something that sounds all too much fun. ]

I, well, you, that is-!

[WAIT, SHE CAN'T KEEP UP WITH THESE EVENTS. WHY IS MAKI BEING SUAVE? WHY IS MAKI BEING NICE? WHY IS MAKI EVEN HERE!?]

[ You're not really getting a choice here Nico, because Maki just reaches out to take the other girl's hand, pulling her into the dance already going on already. The music is upbeat, a waltz, and it seems Maki knows just what to do. She's going to lead Nico with that grin on her face, enjoying how it must make Nico feel being swept off her feet. N-Not that she's doing it for any other reason to tease her!! ]

You're quite nimble on your feet.

[At least Nico knows how to keep from tripping, even when she's being led with no warning]

O, of course I am...

[ This is a dream, there's no need for all the pomp and circumstance of having a logical plot line. They are dancing, and that's how it is. Maki's hand on Nico's lower back, and her other in Nico's hand has Maki leading pretty well. She's actually done this before, though Haruka was the one leading, but she's a fast learner.

That is, if this is even Maki at all. ]

I guess you really are full of talents.

[Even if it's a dream, NICO IS NOT SURE WHAT TO THINK OF BEING HELD BY MAKI AND TWIRLED AROUND. She's not going to fight it though because that would be a huge mess and they'd both look dumb... that's the only reason!]

I always said that... don't sound so surprised.

[ It's hard to deny that it's a little romantic, with other couples moving out of the way for them to twirl on the floor, or how Maki looks contrasted with Nico's dress. Even Maki's getting into it, maybe her eyes catch Nico's for a moment, before she smiles, and then looks away, only to cough as if something suddenly got to her. So she may be suave at the moment, but it's still Maki. ]

I didn't take you for the fairy tale romantic type though.

I, it can't be helped right? Since it's a dream... everyone grew up with these kinds of stories, didn't they?

[She admits it seems kind of childish but... it's not like there's anything wrong with wanting to be the center of attention with the handsome prince. Not that Maki is a handsome prince or anything!]

My Papa used to read me books about Cinderquilla [ Whatever, go with it ] when I was little. I always wanted to get to dance at a ball like this...

[ And Maki goes full on tsun, turning bright red losing her suave attitude she had a moment ago. ]

N-Not that I dreamed of dancing with someone like you or anything!

S, s, same here! I definitely didn't ask for a prince like this!

[Even though. She is still dancing with her. Quite well, in fact.]

But I guess...you don't make a bad Princess.

[ Maki looks down at the other girl, her hand still around her waist, spinning the two of them on the dance floor as if they were all alone in the world.

Following the music, without thinking, Maki dips the princess in her arm back, leaning forward into it.. ]

Wh, ah, you...

[DON'T... SUDDENLY BE NICE TO HER...]

W, well of course no...

[Wait wait wait WHAT IS GOING ON WHAT IS GOING ON WHY IS MAKI'S FACE GETTING CLOSER AND WHY CAN'T I STOP HER]

[ And just then, the clock rings. It's midnight Cinderella, your gown is going to return to normal, and you need to leave.

It wasn't like Maki was going to kiss Nico or anything! She definitely doesn't have those thoughts! ]

I... I gotta go!

[SHE DOESN'T WANT TO TURN INTO A PANGORO though she's pretty sure that's not how this story is supposed to go. Still, it's a... convenient excuse to shove Maki away from her and make a (dignified)(?) run for the exit]

Wait, Prin--Nico!

[ Maki's not sure why she's calling out to the other girl at all, seeing her starting to run, she chases after the princess. Even when her slipper falls off on the staircase Maki can't catch up with her, seeing Nico just in time getting into her carriage. And so Maki's role here ends. ]

[Nico almost turns back at the sound of her name, but she knows she can't stop. So she can only look back towards the palace as she rides off, the magic already starting to disappear.]

Geez... what was that all about?

[ Maki holds the slipper in her hand, wondering just what had happened to her. She wasn't really herself, but she didn't know why. And trying to figure it out doesn't make any sense in her head, until she just sort of starts to fade out of the dream. ]
