[Good evening, citizens of Union. Tonight you are graced with seeing Umi again! And she's back in the city! It's truly a miracle. She's apparently in a section of the habitat for water type pokémon.]

I've returned from my trip to the swamp, and it was...eventually successful.

[To prove her point, she holds up a shiny Skrelp, and it's a good thing she's wearing gloves, because it's drooling all over her hand.]

...is there anyone who has experience with a Pokémon with a drooling problem? He doesn't seem to stop.

Everything else I've tried he'll take into his mouth, and spit it out, rendering it inedible for anything else.

I try to eat healthy, I eat fruit sometimes... [She gets sick of fruit really fast though, just like certain sweets her parents make at their shop.] But I really like poképuffs!

Did you try asking it if it likes anything else?

You should have a more balanced diet overall.

He refuses to eat anything else.

We have to find out if that's bad for him! We could go to the library and find out!

[Honoka, forever lost in the library. She's never been there, she just knows it exists.]

It's obviously bad for him! If he only eats bananas, he won't get the full range of nutrients he'll need to grow properly.

But what are we supposed to do then...

[She blinks a few times. She doesn't want Umi's Skrelp to get sick.]

You could ground it and send it to its room if it doesn't eat anything else! That's what my mom does!

[Give her a moment to try and determine whether or not Honoka really just suggested that.]

...I don't think that really applies here.

But it's just like not eating your vegetables! I always get in trouble if I don't eat all my food!

[Give her a second to focus the video on the skrelp just sort of floating lazily in the water.]

Excuse me! Ren?

Could you tell me what you like to eat other than bananas so Umi can feed you?

[The skrelp just blinks once before it responds. Bananas...]

Besides bananas! That's can't be all you want to eat!

[SHE WON'T TAKE THAT FOR AN ANSWER]

[Umi sighs. The skrelp just stares blankly. I'll tell you if you give me a banana.]

Umi, Ren said if you give him a banana he'll tell me. Give him one quick so he says what else he wants!

I don't have anymore bananas right now. He's eaten them all already.

All of them!? But I gave you so many!

[Hmmmm]

I'll have Ariera give you more! But...

Ren! You don't get any more bananas until you tell us what else you like to eat!

I used most of them as bait, and the rest to feed him.

[Apparently Umi needs to get her own Tropius. Ren gives the skrelp equivalent of a shrug. Honoka, your threats don't bother him.]

[She does hear Umi, but Ren's dismissive shrug gets her more.]

You're going to starve! Maybe I won't give Umi any more bananas so then you'll eat something else!

I told you he wouldn't eat anything else.

[And it's all Honoka's fault! Ren just yawns.]

He doesn't even care... [She looks a little defeated. This Skrelp really isn't threatened at all.]

Does he even care about eating at all? What if you get stuck somewhere and you don't have any bananas, is he going to let himself die?

[It's an honest question...she can't imagine something not wanting to eat if it can't have a specific food. She doesn't like some foods but if she was dying she'd still eat them.]

How am I supposed to know what he'll do?

[It seems Umi has no choice but to get her own banana monster.]

If he was hungry enough, maybe he'd eat something else? I'd rather that didn't happen, though.

You might have to train it like a dog! Then when he eats something else, you can give him a treat like a good boy!

[Like...bananas!]
