3rd Arrow [Video]

[Good evening, citizens of Union. Tonight you are graced with seeing Umi again! And she's back in the city! It's truly a miracle. She's apparently in a section of the habitat for water type pokémon.]

I've returned from my trip to the swamp, and it was...eventually successful.

[To prove her point, she holds up a shiny Skrelp, and it's a good thing she's wearing gloves, because it's drooling all over her hand.]

...is there anyone who has experience with a Pokémon with a drooling problem? He doesn't seem to stop.

Now that I'm back in the city, I recall that you were interested in learning some basic stretches and exercises, right? If you're still interested, I'm available now.

M-Maybe the Pokemon habitat? There's plenty of space there..

[ That's the best option that isn't her house because bringing people there is kind of embarrassing... ]

I'm at the habitat now, so that can be easily arranged.

You are? What are you doing there? Didn't you say you just got back to the city?

I had to drop Ren off here. I don't exactly have a pond for him to swim in.

O-Oh of course, I'm sure most people don't..

[ And yet Maki totally does. ]

I can meet you there in an hour or so? ...What should I wear?

[Umi would totally love to have her own place that has a pond for water types.]

Wear something comfortable, but that'll give you room to move.

[ With hard work (or a lot of money) she could have her very own pond! Maybe. ]

Alright, that shouldn't be too difficult. I'll see you soon.

[ And bam, Maki is off, taking a brisk walk to meet up with Umi, wearing her usual workout clothes of a beanie and simple t-shirt. Yaya isn't around, she's back at home for now. ]

[Moving into the swamp is not an option. She's done there.]

I'll be here.

[And sure enough when Maki arrives, Umi is waiting in the habitat as planned.]

That didn't take very long.

[Was she timing Maki?]

[ You can definitely NOT move into a swamp!!

Seeing the other girl waving Maki jogs over, moving the hair out of her eyes before reaching out to shake Umi's hand, before she hears that slightly judging tone. ]

U-Uh yeah I got changed quick. It's nice to meet you in person Umi.

[Umi shakes Maki's hand with a little smile.]

It's nice to meet you, too. Arriving promptly is a good thing. It shows that you're eager to learn.

[ Maki is pretty sure this girl is serious, and tries to straighten out her back a little, to show that she is. ]

I-I am. I want to get better at dancing and performing.

[That's a good idea, Maki. You don't need Umi busting on you for bad posture. But now it's time to get serious!]

Let's start by having you show me some stretches you already know.

[ Maki's had to learn posture to sing well, so it comes naturally for her. ]

Stretches? Okay that's not that difficult..

[ And so she leans forward trying to touch the ground with her fingers, before standing up and then doing it all over a few time. Then a few other simple stretches she knows off hand, trying to impress Umi. ]

[You can think that all you want, Maki. Stretches might seem simple, but it's doing them properly that isn't. But she isn't half bad. At least Maki knows a little bit.]

Not bad. Could be better, though. You'll have to keep practicing.

Try this one.

[And Umi proceeds to demonstrate a stretch which she does with ease.]

R-Really? [ Maki thought she had been doing fine. Then she just watches Umi and her face contorts a little...she's not sure she can do that. ]

[ So she pulls her leg or arm or whatever, and nearly falls over, her balance no where near Umi's. ]

[It wasn't easy getting to the point where she could do these stretches. She stops to watch Maki attempt it and...fail. Sigh. Oh well, she probably shouldn't have expected her to be able to do it from the start.]

Again. Take it slower this time. Balance and flexibility are key.

Again? [ Maki's not sure how she expected this to go, but already her heart is sinking a little, worried that she might be in over her head..

So she tries again, barely able to keep her balance, but doing slightly better now that she's focusing. But her problem still is that she's not used to this, and she can't last long. ]

[This is only the beginning, Maki. There is no escape. Umi continues watching over her, like some sort of dictator.]

Better. Don't forget to breathe.

[ And she brought this on herself too, which somehow makes it worse. Maki's tail swishes back and forth, as if trying to help her balance, taking in deep exaggerated breaths to prove she is following directions. ]

R-Right. Is this better?

[Umi crosses her arms, inspecting Maki as she attempts to keep her balance.]

Much better, yes. Hold it as long as you can.

[ This girl...Maki might have gotten herself into a dangerous situation. ]

I-I can't....hold it....

[ It's hard, and Maki's trying, but she's about to topple over. ]

[Don't worry Maki, Umi will make you strong. If she can survive, that is. She'll make a 'mon out of you.]

You'll have to keep practicing.

[ Don't worry? She's already realized that Umi might be a difficult person to please.

And then eventually her muscles give out, and Maki slumps to the ground, breathing heavily. She's got stamina, but apparently not enough. ]

You're going to need a lot of practice.

R-Right...I guess this is what I wanted..
