Fourth Dream: Nightmares [Action]
Yuuna’s Dream
[This particular dream is set in Union, inside a large room covered in gymnastics mats. On one end is a tall woman, shaved bald and wearing a martial arts gi and standing beside a Meinfoo while on the other end is Yuuna, dressed in the same, with Gouken the Hitmonchan at her side.
The woman and her Pokemon square off against her, rushing at them with a battlecry, and the fight is on. And it doesn’t take a particularly observant person to see just how outmatched Yuuna is. Her movements are clumsy and sluggish, as are Gouken’s. The woman catches her with a right cross that knocks her flat, and Meinfoo sends Gouken flying with a single throw. Scrambling to their feet, they try again. And again, and again and again…and they just can’t seem to get in a hit.]
Why keep fighting? It is pointless. You should just give up and go back to whatever hole you crawled out of. Only the strong should be allowed to train Pokemon. You’re just a waste of space. Someone who’s abilities are just so limited doesn’t even deserve to be called a trainer, much less pretend to be a Ranger.
[Yuuna growls and shakes her head, trying to get up again and stumbling, wiping blood from her mouth. Gouken does, however. And he looks to his trainer, eyes filled with disdain. That says it all, really. You’re weak, and you’re just holding me back. Slowly, he turns and walks over to join the other woman. The look of shock and horror on Yuuna’ s face is beyond hurt. It’s a breaking, and she drops back down, fists clenched in disbelief, tears darkening the mat in front of her.]
See, even your closest companion doesn’t want to be with a weakling like you. You’re nothing, Yuuna. Just trash, waiting to be swept away!
Gouken’s Dream
[This, much the same as the other, is set in some sort of training room, only this one is much more run down and shabby. Only this time there’s no other human. Just Gouken, Yuuna, and another Pokemon. A monstrous form, amorphous and evershifting, the creature seems to be intent on attacking the human. Gouken lunges in the way, hammering at the shadow with his fists, but each blow is just swallowed up by shadow.]
Pointlessssss
[A hissing laughter fills the room, and the shadow flows around the Hitmonchan. Yuuna’s eyes go wide and she shrieks in horror as tenebrous arms reach for her, grabbing her up by the throat.]
G-Gou…ack…ken! H-help me!
[Again he tries, pounding away with Ice, Fire, Lightning and every other kind of attack he knows but nothing seems to phase the strange Pokemon. It just absorbs the blows again, loosening it’s grip and shaking Yuuna from side to side as it slowly chokes her. She squeaks in pain again, unable to cry for help anymore as the Hitmonchan continues a barrage of punches.
And all the shadow does is laugh…]
Dream World
[Here’s someone who seems prepared, at least. Yuuna, in her long sleeved white martial arts uniform, meanders through the through the odd landscape. A Ranger’s insignia is emblazoned on the arm now, and she’s wearing handwraps like always. Her hand is never far from her sword, and she’s surrounded by several Pokemon, six visible, though anyone with preternatural senses will catch a 7th in the area…though it’s well hidden. She approaches anyone without much reservation, waving and announcing her presence well in advance.]
Hey. You okay?
[OOC: Catch her in any place, or help Gouken out! I’m totally open with this!]

And Gouken's fist lashes out at exposed...whatever it is. There's a vicious crunching sound and a bellow of pain as the obfuscated form's rib snaps. And more as Gouken keeps on punching, aiming everywhere it can. He'll break you for what you did to his best friend! Without your tricks you're nothing!]
Channnnn!!!!!!
no subject
[ She glances from Yuuna, worried, to Gouken. She almost but didn't quite lose to you once, ruffian. You'd better not fail your Trainer now! ]
no subject
Yuuna, for her part, groans and lays there underneath the luxurious furry ursine Pokemon, taking in what heat she can and reaching up to rub at her stiff throat.]
Bear...tic? Is...Gouken okay?
no subject
The Hitmonchan in question is, incidentally, bearly visible around Sky's bulk... ]
no subject
He-Help him.
[Because now, the shadows are coming loose, and the spectral shape of a Lucario becomes clearer. And it's fighting back hard...]
no subject
[ And she lumbers forth to battle again. Pardon the interruption! You don't have a prisoner this time! What if she tries to pin you down with an Icicle Crash? ] Bear!!
no subject
This...could be bad!]
no subject
Get your Trainer somewhere safe and then hasten back here! She will try to slow this Pokémon down. ] Bear!
[ Now, which attack has the best chance of freezing it....? ]
no subject
[In affirmation, the boxing fiend whirls and dives for Yuuna, scooping her up and charging away, leaping out through a boarded up window. Wait here trainer, they'll finish this!
And back in he goes, but in the interim that sphere has grown larger and larger. Eerie light floods the room, ready to be released!]
no subject
Okay. Yes. She'll go for the ankles, nice and low, once that attack flies free. Like that, she might make it. Bearly.
Pride, falls, etc. ]
no subject
And with the completion of that awful pun, the enemy hits the ground with a thud as Gouken reenters the fray, charging up a Focus Punch. Can you keep him busy?!]
no subject
[ Yeah, Endure was necessary. Sky stumbles backwards as she's hit, gets frustrated that she's going the wrong way, and blindly lumbers towards the enemy before toppling to her knees. Ow. No. This can't be. She can't lose.
While Gouken readies that Focus Punch, she scatters Powder Snow on the enemy. It's not the greatest attack, but if it can freeze the opponent while he's done... ]

When Gouken's fist flies forward, over the downed bear. Energy swirls around it, a blue-white glow enveloping his fist.
You. Will. Not. Hurt. His. Friend!]
HITMONNNNNNN!
[The punch slams into Lucario, cracking through the last of the shadow and an icy rime that'd formed thanks to Beartic's attacks. There's a creaking sound, a momentary pause, and it flies backwards, propelled through the wall with an earsplitting roar!
Dust billows into the room, a choking miasma of durant-eaten woodshavings, but through it all, Gouken's eyes are obviously fixed on Beartic. Are you okay?]
no subject
[ She's......not completely indisposed. Trying to get back to her feet, Beartic takes a deep breath and composes herself as befits a lady (even when the room is swimming). Did you trounce the ruffian? And is your Trainer safe? ]

But then it fades. She is, however, accepting that hand. ] Bear.
[ Sorry if she tugs on you getting herself up, here. She's not in any condition to be capable of measuring her strength. ]
no subject
And once she's standing up, the fighter does the unthinkable. He gives her a hug.]
Chan.
no subject
[ Yes, she definitely wasn't expecting that. Beartic's shoulders tense, but once her mind manages to process exactly what sort of decorum breach might be happening, and why it might be occurring, she slowly lifts a paw to return the embrace. She even awkwardly pats Gouken's back, and her eyes get a little misty. You're not such a bad sort. You care so deeply about your Trainer.
Your good opinion of her doesn't hurt either, to be honest. ] Bear.
no subject
After a moment, he pulls back and nods curtly.]
Chan. Hitmon.
[We should probably go, huh? There's lot of weird stuff to do in this dream place, and other people may need help.]
no subject
She is even willing to carry your Trainer if you'd like to try and find a nice, comfortable place for her to rest.] Bear.
no subject
[This sounds good. He's not got much fur to speak of so he will leave the most important task to you.]
no subject
[ And then she's ready. The human must be comfortable now. Let's go. ] Bear.
