A Dream Within a Dream

The world was strange, fantastic, and terrifying at the same time. Heavy fog seemed to rise from the ground and billow through the trees, possessing a life of its own. The trees themselves, while seemingly harmless, berry-bearing types--berries both sweet and delicious, far more so than the ones in their world--stretched on for what seemed like an eternity, threatening to blot out the sun. While breaks in the canopy existed, they were few and far between, and sunlight was fickle at best. Night and day had no relation with time itself and moved as they pleased in a strange dance with no determinable rhythm.

Heavy fog gave way to strange new worlds entirely, where reason dared not tread. The worlds of the dreaming were nonsensical, oftentimes chaotic, and almost always extremely disorienting to move in and out of. Still, if one could figure out how to communicate with the sleeper behind them...

Moving through this strange new world, one might find that they are not entirely alone. Others spirited away in the night have found their way here, perhaps awakened by the strange cries of Pokemon, or the gentle rustling of leaves.

[Huh. What... was he still asleep? This looked like some kind of dream but dreams weren't usually this vivid- and when they were they were not very pleasant. He spends a few minutes blinking skyward before he looks around and finds Hina hunkered down, sleeping next to him. He gently pokes her awake and one confused emphatic exchange later, she was on his shoulder and he was cautiously exploring the trees.]

Eiji Hino, Part-time shop keeper, and this is Hina. [Chirp!] Do... you know where we are?

No clue, unfortunately. Never seen this place before. Amanda tried going up above the trees to see if we could spot any landmarks, but the forest just stretches into the fog indefinitely.

[The Flygon shuddered a bit.]

[Fuzzface, significantly more sensitive to psychic calls than Hiccup and the rest of the team is, hears the call, and runs towards it, bringing her Trainer and Toothless along with her. Hiccup waves back at the Blissey as they come into view.]
