[Anyone who has seen Asemu yesterday or sees him over the next couple of days will notice that he is spending a lot of time around the Medical Center. After he got back from his recent trip into the wilderness, he left the Koffing he had found and rescued with the Pokémon doctors. He also admitted himself for examination; after all, he had spent several minutes in a cloud of smog.

Fortunately, Asemu was cleared in short order, under the instructions to remain in places with clean air. The Koffing would take more time to recover, which is why he has been spending so much time down there.

But eventually, the Koffing is released and in full health. Once that happens, Asemu begins to walk through the shops to provide whatever amenities it needs. The Koffing floats cheerfully along close behind him, occasionally admitting puffs of gas. While unpleasant to breathe directly, there wasn't enough to affect the surrounding air, though.]

[OOC: Feel free to run into Asemu anywhere in the Business district, either by himself or with his newly-bonded Koffing in tow. Any day between 1/22 and 1/25 is allowed, as well, as the first day was when he first came back with the injured Koffing, and the latter when it was discharged.]

Were you the one who brought Koffing in?

Nah, it's okay. And yeah, that was me. I found it when I was searching for new Pokémon in the Scorched Forest.

I see. ...It's probably why the trees there never grow - the air is a little....

[Well he couldn't really blame the Koffing.]

But it seems like it's doing a lot better now. I think Koffing can go home soon.

Good. That's good to hear. I'm sure it'll be a big help to me and my job once it's back to full health.

I'm a ranger. The more Pokémon I have in the field, the better.

A ranger... That's really impressive! Is scouting the Scorched Forest area one of your duties right now?

My dad was a ranger, too - we actually lived out in the forest most of my life.

Nah, but that's where I'm focus--

[Lucas seems a bit embarrassed by Asemu's reaction.]

They had to report in on the state of the forest and the activity of the Pokemon there, so... they thought it would be best if the Pokemon in the area got used to them.

...Oh. Right. Gotcha.

Sorry. For a second I thought you meant, like, going feral or something.

Aha...

No, it wasn't like that. Um. ...I guess we did grow up around wild Pokemon, though, so. I guess I see them a little differently.

Right. That'd make sense. I guess also why you'd be going into the medical field. Kind of like my sister.

Oh -- yes, that, and... my abilities are really focused on healing, so... I hope I can help them get stronger.

Does your sister work in the Medical Center?

No, not yet. She's still in school. She's studying to become a nurse to treat human patients. But she's a lot better with people than I am, and she makes good accompaniment for things she likes, so I'm sure she'll do really well with it.

I'm sure she'll do great...!

I think the one thing I've learned here is that there's always so many people who need help... As long as you can give a warm smile, it will be worth a lot to them.

She loves to smile. I know a lot of people have had trouble with siblings, but Yunoa has never given me even an ounce. She's more the opposite of that.

I hope I can stay here and learn to be a doctor someday. I'm just a student now - I come after classes to learn.

But if she comes to the Medical Center soon, I hope I can meet her.

You probably will. She likes to get up in people's business. Not nosy, just friendly.

...I guess you probably don't know what it was that attacked?

[Asemu walks closer to where the Koffing is.]

No. All I know is that it was a Fire-type. Since it was in the Scorched Forest, that could be anything.

...I hope it's not going to be a recurring problem. ...The Scorched Forest isn't so far; if something's going around attacking Pokemon, it needs to be stopped.

If something is, it will be. That's a promise, and a favor to this Koffing.
