Action
[Well, this whole mess sucks surprisingly hard, in Isabela's opinion. Other people have it worse than being in a cute superpowered body for the duration, of course, but there are a number of problems with suddenly being Enlightened, or having a borrowed body she didn't feel comfortable using for her normal weekend activities. For one thing, of course, there are the horrible nightmares that have her restless and irritable, and for another, Pokémon now insist on engaging her in conversation.]
I appreciate that you're concerned, Doublade, but I'm fine. Gods, were you always this protective?
[Her floating-swords-ghost-monster companion simply continues hovering worriedly. Maybe he understands something she doesn't, or maybe he's just not listening to her now that she's got a type disadvantage, who knows. Lombre, for his part, is nearby and following orders and doing his best not to think too hard, which isn't actually much of a problem for him.]
I just wish I could make sense of all the noise. How does Merrill do this?
[Isabela continues doing what she's doing, sitting under a tree just a bit outside the walls and attempting to clear her mind. At least being in natural surroundings made her feel a little better, whether from being an evolved Fairy type or some of Merrill's habits just being imprinted on her body by now.]
[She could use a human to talk to, though.]

Well, if you happen to find yourself hungry whenever we get switched back, I'll take you out to dinner some time. I've got a couple of tax-free income sources.
[Before you ask...well, don't ask.]
In the meantime I'm probably just going to eat like I normally do and see if that fills you out any, I guess.

Oh, that's very nice of you. Thank you, Isabela.
[Merrill doesn't know what tax-free income means anyway.]

Well, I can't really help you with your dream-eating horrorterror problem, so I might as well help with the small stuff, right?
no subject
I appreciate it.
Oh! And while we're still like this... how do you do that thing with your hips when you walk? I tried it once and fell over in the middle of the street.
no subject
Oh that? That's not something you practice. Just strut.

So it's either something you can do or something you can't?
Can't not copy canon here
No, just something that comes to you. Usually at night. Like a lover. Or possibly a burglar.
Either it ravishes you or runs off with all your jewelry. And you have to run it down and stab it in the heart.
And... that metaphor got a bit away from me, didn't it?
same
I think it did, but it was certainly exciting!
