Scyther scy!

[Musashi, Scyther warrior and proud retainer of Rise Kujikawa, has taken control of his lady's Warp Band to congratulate his numerous progeny on establishing themselves as part of Union, and to request recognition from the City of Union as the Mantis Clan, as well as domain over new territory discovered in the Archipelago Region.]

[...that was a humorous joke.]

Okay, Musashi, you've had your fun. Can I ask everyone for what you actually wanted, now?

[She takes the Warp Band back, Musashi bowing in thanks for allowing him that.]

Aaaanyway, this gentleman here has been expressing interest in evolving, but he can't tell me exactly how Scythers evolve. I don't think they work like most Bug-types or he'd have done it by now, so has anyone else figured this out?

Thanks!

Sounds like he probably needs an item. Does he know what type he evolves into?

Might need a Metal Coat. I'm kind of full up on Engineering projects right now, but if he's willing to wait until the week after next, we could try that. If it doesn't work, there's no charge.

It seemed like a logical progression. Y'know, there are some Pokemon that need items to evolve, some of them need to be traded with that item to evolve, the Pokemon in question becomes a Steel-type, oh hey there's an item that only exists to power-up Steel types, maybe that will work. If it doesn't, no harm, no foul.

I'm Hiccup Haddock by the way.

It's fine. You can say it. I know my name stinks.

It's family tradition to give your kids terrible names to ward off any Pokemon that would eat your dreams or drag you to the spirit world.

I'm not even the first Hiccup. I'm the third. You'd think Hiccup Horrendous Haddock I or II would've told them to knock it off, but apparently not.

I haven't been carted off by wild Ghost-types and as far as I can tell my dreams haven't been either, but that's not really proof it actually worked. I mean, it's not like either of those happen very often to begin with.

[Someone figured out the Warp Band, too.]

Vee! Eevee?

[He'd heard that Eevees evolve all kinds of ways. What had Musashi tried??]

[Maybe... with an item! Like some of those pretty stones people got recently. Be right back!

And the little brown tuft of a tail can be seen wiggling around in various spots in Minako's room before...

Tada!

Eros was holding a Dawn Stone.

Like this!]

[Eros perked his ears up. Maybe Musashi could borrow Minako's stone! Eros had no idea how these stones worked, though...]

[Ohh... disappeared was bad. Eros put the stone to the side. Not a good idea, then. At least, not with this one.

Maybe your trainer could find a good stone for you!]

[That sounds like a good trainer, then. Good luck!! Sorry he couldn't help more.]
