[ Well, this sure is a pair of beady eyes and a giant mouth filling the screen. If he gets really super close, he can still be heard if he whispers, right? ]

[ Hi! It's nice to see you, but they'll have to be quiet. People are trying to sleep! ]

[... wait, your face rings a bell]

... do I know you?

[He's talking a bit more quiet, at least]

[ Leavanny's antennae droop for a moment before he remembers he's evolved. As quietly as he can, he rummages around in the back of his own leaves, then quickly whips together a miniature leaf hood and holds it up. He's the one who makes these! Is Floette doing well? ] Van!

[--oh! Oh, yeah, he remembers you]

Oh yeah! I didn't know you'd evolved. How's that feel?

Leava... [ From the fact he just went starry-eyed, it must be pretty great.

Oh, but hold on. Let him go into the hallway so he can talk without waking up the humans one room over...He begins sneaking towards the door. ]

Hah, I wonder when my second one's coming.

[ Leavanny carefully closes this door and then turns back to the Warp Band. He has to make extra-sure nobody wakes up because the humans stay up late a lot. They go into the bedroom but he can still hear them moving around. It's weird.

Kaido's musing is more interesting, however. Humans can evolve twice?? ] Van van?

[Yeah you wouldn't want to disturb them ~~for your own sake~~]

There's no way this one's my final one. Look at those half-assed fangs.

[And he'll demonstrate. Yeah some of his teeth are definitely not human, but you do have to look at them to notice--they're still short enough to look normal unless he grins or bares them]

[ Natto gets up close and personal with the screen again to look and - yes, those do look intermediary. So don't worry! That will sort itself out! If he can get better after being a Swadloon, there's no reason why your next evolution won't be really neat too.

...Though. Uh. Maybe you can just tell him about your teeth then instead of showing him. ] Leava vanny van.

They're not even really sharp. What's the point of fangs if they're not sharp, right?

[ It takes Natto a moment, but he nods. That does make sense, yes... ] Leavanny.

[ He swallows. Wow, he's glad he's bigger now. This would be such a harrowing conversation otherwise! ]

[Unfortunately, he's not good enough at people to figure out exactly what's making you uncomfortable. His close circle are used to his dark type antics]

I just hope I get buff. [Like Kanji. He's so tired of being on the scrawny side. He's strong but it doesn't show and his manly ego is hurt]

So what else d'you got now? You haven't just gotten bigger, right? Any new skills?

Vanny! [ This is a much better topic of conversation! Natto sets the Warp Band on the floor and kneels so that it still gets a shot of him, then begins pulling silk thread from his mouth. His arms dart in and out, the string goes around and around -

And the next thing you know he's got a macramé necklace held between his delicate arms. Ta-da! ] Lea!

[ That's totally what you meant when you asked that question, right? ]

[--hah. He shouldn't be surprised]

You'll have to show that to Floette.

Va! [ He will!! How is she doing? If you're still saying "Floette", she has not evolved yet herself. She's lovely just as she is, though, so he hopes she's OK with that. ]

She's good. Sleeping right now, though. I'd get her on the line otherwise.

[Sometimes she keeps his kind of hours, but he feels a bit guilty about that and insists she get some real sleep now and then. Which is how he ended up bored in the first place.

As for evolution, they'd need a stone, probably, but she's not in a hurry, she likes being small and fast]

[ Leavanny nods. He knows the feeling. Today is unusual because he has been staying up to work on A Project. You and she would be welcome to stop by and see it, but...

He looks carefully from left to right before cupping his mouth to whisper at Kaido. ] Vanny vanny.

[ It's a secret project! Can you keep it that way? ]

[Well, Kaido might not speak mon, but he can tell a conspiracy when he sees one. He's grinning, bared fangs and all]

A secret, huh? That sounds fun. My mouth's zipped.

[Or well it will be when he's not grinning. Promise]

[ And he tiptoes into the next room over, where an Eevee, a baby Rhyhorn (legs twitching), and a Spritzee are all sleeping in a pile with each other. He holds up a piece of cloth to the dim light streaming in through the door.

Leavanny is sewing a tiny dress, complete with little cloth rosebud accents. And it has nice loose sleeves so his friend Lulu the Roselia will be able to fit her flower hands through them. What do you think? He designed this pattern himself. ] Leavanny!

... that's pretty cool.

Vanny leava! [ He's glad you approve!! In part it's thanks to Floette, actually. She was so happy to get her leaf hood way back when, and that happiness has stuck with him. So now that he can make more permanent clothing, he wants to pay it back.

...but this sounds like bragging, so he lowers the dress and blushes a little. You'll chalk this up to lack of sleep, right? ] Van.

Hey, be proud of your stuff. You made it.

Also you know Floette's gonna be all sparkly eyed when she sees this right?

[Hint hint]

[ Leavanny scratches the back of his neck. Something for Floette will take more delicate stitches, since she's smaller, but hey - once he's a more accomplished sewer... ] Leav.

[He grins]

So, out of curiosity, how long's it take you to make something like this?

[The only other person he knows who sews is Kanji, and you two aren't the same size--or use the same tools, for that matter]

[ Oh, that's a good question. He has to work on it only when Lulu's not here, to keep it a surprise, but even though she's busy with the baby they still hand out together a lot....and he had to come up with the design and that took a while too...how long has it been? ] Vanny leava...?

[ He's been at this for a few days, he...thinks? He's bad with time. Staying up late to work on it hasn't helped that either. ]

I've always wondered about shifters. Like. There's pokemon-born ones? so......

maybe it depends what you're born as whether shifters can have kids with humans?
