Wait. It's hard to tell, but that's actually a dude in drag. Hopefully you have good perception-- if not? Kuranosuke's not going to correct anyone who mistakes him for a girl. He's got on make up, a lusciously full blonde wig, and pink from head to toe apart from his black miniskirt.

It looks like he's making this broadcast from the business district, and he's speaking with a girly lilt to his voice-- what, gotta act the part if you're dressed up, right?]

It's a pleasure to meet you all, I'm sure. Let's get down to business, shall we?

Well, let's hope we don't get anyone boring.

Kura-po, you think everyone's boring nowadays.

I'm not wrong! There's never anyone with the right style. Everyone's always talking and talking- but it's like no one cares about what they do! I need something new.

[Pearls just lets out her own exasperated sigh. What is she going to do with this boy?]

See, I told you my sister was cute. All we need is some instruments and we could play just about anything. ♫

Well, if you leave the instruments to me, I'm sure we can make up the loan for them in a matter of shows!

None so far! [The only thing she can think of is the size of the cut he'd want, but that really doesn't matter too much to her.]

[...We come to this restaurant, and all these kids want are sweets. Guess I should've known.

Kuranosuke chuckles to himself, waving his hand.]

Well! I'll join in. I want a shortcake myself.

[He waves the waiter over with a quick 'yoo-hoo!', giving them the order and turning back to his two new charges.]

Now, while we wait... what else can you tell me about yourselves?

["All" is a bit optimistic. After all, their conversation could last longer than the sweets, and what happens then? Seconds, given the chance.]

Well, let's see. We're 14 years old, but I'm the big sis! I'm the courageous one that likes causing mischief, and Len's the snarky but adorable one... something like that. ♪

Hey! ♫ [Len shoots Rin and indignant look.] I told you to stop calling me adorable.

I'm snarky but manly. [Turning back towards Kuranosuke, he winks.] I'm also the brains of this operation. I mean who was it that found us a manager, huh, huh? ♫

Mmm, of course, the manliest.

[Kura's just going to wink back, because he's not above fucking with kids. It's kind of hilarious. And Len'll learn soon enough.]

The only thing you need now is a place to perform!

[Len just nods in agreement. Totally the manliest, yup, that's him.]

So, what kind of places can we get into around here? ♫

Any big stages? ♪

[Rin doesn't want to start off small!!]

Now, that's no way to build a following.

You've got to find some loyal fans first.

[He taps his finger against his chin as their desserts arrive.]

Actually... I think I know of a place that we can go very soon and rent instruments for... sort of an open mic session. it'd be a good way to get to hear you both together.

[Len starts to eat his dessert, banana first.] Really? We already had a following before we died, you know. Can't you just advertise that? ♫

[Not that he really has any idea how, but that's what the manager is for.]

[Rin has no idea how he'd pull that off either. So she pouts, but asks.]

...Well, what's this open mic place? ♪

Honey, centuries-old fans aren't going to do much.

[He thinks for a moment before answering.]

It's a little stage downtown called Shoreside. It's not too far from here, actually, if you want to stop in. The owner's a good friend.

Hmm... I guess we can stop by after we eat. ♫ [It's a little depressing to think about the fact all of their fans are dead, so Len stuffs his face with some more icecream instead.]

But what are you thinking? I mean, about advertising "the whole robot thing"? People around here seem kind of obsessed with the Old City, I bet if we rope 'em in with that we can keep them once they realize how cool we are! ♫

Right? I'm kinda shocked they haven't made a bigger deal of that than they have, honestly. We're kind of the find of the century, here!

[Rin nibbles her brioche.]

Eh, it's probably better that way, though. ♪

[Kuranosuke gives Pearls the strawberry from the top of his shortcake before grabbing a bite himself.]

You are. And that can be used to our advantage, I think.

After all, you're a one of a kind experience nowadays, aren't you?

Well, two of a kind. [He playfully nudges Rin.] Hehe.

But this gives me an idea, Manager-san. We should start off big and impress them by singing something a normal human idol could never pull off! ♫

Something unforgettable! It would be good if it was kind of daring too, don't you think? ♪

I'm assuming all this 'talking like you know something I don't' means you both have something in mind, hmm?
