[The image comes on and Minako's a lot happier than she seemed a little while ago with the egg in her backpack. That's because she's been playing with a baby Pokémon all week since the egg in question hatched, and it's been way more exciting than she thought it would be!]

Hey, everyone! I have an announcement to make!

[She holds up an almost week old Eevee for everyone to see.]

It's a boy!

[The Eevee looked just as excited and wiggled his forepaws at the video feed like he was waving.]

Vee!

[She giggled, getting some happy trills from the little Eevee before holding him back against her chest.]

His name is Eros and he's looking forward to meeting people!

[With that, she reached forward and turned off the feed.]

What do you mean?

[ In being adorable. But she'll let that percolate in your head for a while instead of explaining. ]

Have you started training yet?

Just little things around the house. He's still kind of small. But he's a quick learner, and has almost no fear of trying anything. [Which was good. Because it meant he was unlikely to have any sort of stage fright.]

Vee! [Look, see? He would demonstrate some tricks he learned, like hopping on just his hindlegs, and then standing on just his front paws, and rolling over. He'd do more, but they were in Minako's bedroom, and there wasn't a whole lot of space for him to demonstrate the bigger tricks they'd been doing earlier today in the backyard.] Eevee! [He was talented, right? Right?!]

[actsmagnificent]

[ And he's eager to show off, so it looks like you guys will be a good match. Haruka's eyebrows go up; she makes a small noise in the back of her throat that just might signal she's impressed.

Her Eevee, however, gapes open-mouthed. He can't even move using all four paws sometimes! You - two - you are a wonder Eevee. ] Eeeeeeeeeee.

[ ....she's definitely going to have to get used to accepting this guy's a follower. ] I think you've got your first fan.

[Minako laughed.]

It looks like it.

Vee! [He wiggled his ears in excitement. He'd be willing to share and help out if Gold wanted to learn!]

So, is your Eevee new, too? [Minako hadn't seen Haruka with an Eevee before. Though, that didn't mean she didn't have tons of Pokemon in her habitat area that she could call on a whim as needed! Minako wouldn't be surprised if it was the latter.]

[ Haruka shrugs. ] He followed me home.

[ This is more true than one might expect. He followed her out of the Flower Grove into the desert, no matter how coldly she treated him. She put him in the Warp Band to keep him from sinking into the sand up to those silly perky ears.

He, however, is quite grateful she did. Union is fun! And he meets nice people like this other young Eevee! What can he teach you in exchange, uh....

Oh! Do you get a lot of attention at home? He knows a trick to get more attention! ] Vee vee!

Oh, well, that's cute! That means he must like you!

[Wow, was getting more attention possible? What kind of trick could do that????]

I guess. [ She looks at her own Eevee as if not sure what to do with him, but amusedly so. Oh children. Oh adorable children.

Eevee, however, is intent on imparting wisdom. He can't take credit for this, okay, because another Pokémon helped him figure it out....but have you ever noticed that when two humans want alone time to tell each other how important they are to each other, they always end up taking off all their fake fur??? This is a true, true fact upon which his strategy hinges. ] Eevee. Eevee vee vee eevee.

I wonder what they're talking about. It looks really interesting. [She kind of wanted to just leave the Warp Band connected so they could continue.]

[They doooo???? This trainer hadn't done things like that, yet, so he didn't know about all of that. Though she did take off the fur and put other fur on before she went to sleep. Was that the same thing?]

We just became extraneous. [ Haruka laughs. At least, if this Eevee is going to be more of a follower than a leader, he doesn't lack for enthusiasm or the ability to make friends.

She would be a bit more concerned if she understood what they were saying.

Eevee, oblivious to all this, bats at his own ear. It's...similar? Maybe related to everything happening in beds. But! Get this. All you have to do, to make a human really really like you...

....is shed a lot. All over everything. He has yet to see the fruits of this effort but he's only just begun. You can try it too, if you'd like! ] Vee! Vee vee vee ee.

That's okay. They seem to like each other a lot.

[Ohhhhh... shedding... like taking off the fur. Got it! He would have to try that, too. Thanks for the tip!
