[The image comes on and Minako's a lot happier than she seemed a little while ago with the egg in her backpack. That's because she's been playing with a baby Pokémon all week since the egg in question hatched, and it's been way more exciting than she thought it would be!]

Hey, everyone! I have an announcement to make!

[She holds up an almost week old Eevee for everyone to see.]

It's a boy!

[The Eevee looked just as excited and wiggled his forepaws at the video feed like he was waving.]

Vee!

[She giggled, getting some happy trills from the little Eevee before holding him back against her chest.]

His name is Eros and he's looking forward to meeting people!

[With that, she reached forward and turned off the feed.]

[The video flicks on to reveal the close-up face of a small Vaporeon, mid-yawn. It pulls back afterward, a sort of lazy smile on its face as its tail serenely wags back and forth.]

Hey, Bubbles! Quit messing with that!

[Apparently he'd nudged Squid Girl's wrist to activate the band, having seen one of its kind on the other end of the broadcast.]

Eee vee vee?

[What are you?]

Vaporeon!

[It seems proud enough to announce that much, at least.]

Yeah, you wake up for other people, but never when I want you to.

Sorry. Is he bothering you? He's figured this band out really fast.

[Eros was a smart little guy.]

Nah, he's okay. I didn't expect Bubbles to wake up like that.

Oh, good.

He's still new, so I'm not sure if he's going to be in everyone's face or not.

[He probably would be, considering he was brave natured, but...]

Vaporeons start as Eevees, right? So maybe that's why.

[Happy trilling and cooing behind her indicated that Eros wanted to keep talking to Bubbles. Get out of the way, trainer! Conversation happening here!]

Kinda looks like it.

[Bubbles yawns again, still looking at the screen.]

This one's just kinda lazy.

[She reaches out with a tentacle to poke the baby Water type's cheek.]

You didn't evolve yours?

[Wait... was that...]

Do you have tentacles?

Eee vee vee!

[Let me taaaaalk!]

Huh? Well, yeah. I evolved her with a Water Stone.

[Squid Girl nods, waving all ten of them around.]

Yeah! Awesome, right?

[Bubbles latches onto one, hugging it.]

Wow! How'd you get those?

[Minako blinked.]

Oh... Well, she looked like this before that, right? [Pointing at Eros.]

I have my ways.

[In other words, someone gave it to her.]

Yup, just like that. For a couple minutes.

Oh. Then, yeah. They're sort of same then. I don't know if I want to evolve him, yet.

[She rubbed his ears, which got a happy cooing sound in response.]

Why not? Vaporeons are awesome!

Oh, I know! But, after looking at stuff about it, there are a lot of different ones to aim for. I'm not sure which one. And, he's really cute like he is now, too.

Vee. [He agreed.]

I think Water types are the best.

[Fold arms, sage nod.]

But I guess there's lots of other stuff you can do, too.

[That got a small chuckle from Minako.]

Then Vaporeon should be a perfect fit for you.

[She nodded.] I still have to decide what feels right for me.

You look like that pink one with all the ribbons and bows.

Uh? [Minako blinked. Well, she did like that one, and it would probably look adorable on stage!] You think so?

[Wait... look like?] What do you mean, I look like it?

You know. With the big bow.

[She gestures to the top of her own head.]

Oh! [She laughed, reaching up to touch said bow.] Right. I'm so used to just wearing it that I sometimes forget it's there!

Yeah, so that one. Or maybe the... grey one? I dunno what it's called.

Hm... not sure, either. There are so many of them.

I guess I'll just have to see how it goes for him. From what I can tell, he already knows a move that would work for the one with the bows, so maybe that's what'll happen.

I guess you'll find out.

Mm!

But, hey, whatever happens, I'm sure he'll be great.

Vee! [Of course, he would!]
