Second Dive | Action
[It had been weeks since his last foray into the wilderness to explore. After his trek though the mountains last month that resulted in his grades dropping because he skipped all of his classes for two weeks without any kind of warning, Rei had promised himself that he would catch up on his studies, pursue any extra credit that he could, and return his academic levels to their former pristine glory. Befriending a few Pokemon was no excuse to let his grades slip, and he knew that he woud need to either find a way to achieve balance or make a few sacrifices before he was promoted to the next class level.
But that was in the future....and it had been weeks since he had last sat outside with a book and enjoyed himself--not for the lack of his Pokemon trying.
So, it was that afternoon that he had planned on letting Tama, Harima, and Hanai roam around the park while he caught up on his light reading. At least, that was the plan...]
Action A

[Rei stuck out like a sore thumb in the library, carrying a grumpy looking Marill under one arm and a bag full of what appeared to be sunglasses under the other. The frustrated, determined set of his dark eyes and the occassional complaint from the Marill made it amply clear that this was decidedly not a good time to bother him.]
Action B
Lose Your Glasses?
Go to the Library to Get Them.
Ask for Rei Ryugazaki.
[The sign copied out en mass, posted in every storefront that would allow it throughout the city by either Rei or one of his Pokemon (except the grumpy Marill, who will be with Rei at all times). Rei's peaceful afternoon was spent posting these flyers instead of reading in the park like he had originally planned...but, that's not going to stop him from trying to make the most of the situation.
As the afternoon sun faded and turned into evening, the small group of them finally did make it to the park. With a bag of snacks and bottled tea for all of them to share, Rei flopped onto the grass to watch the sun set while the other three played.
Frustrating as the afternoon was, it was nice to take a break from academics once again.]

All the same, she slows when she spots the teenager and heads over with an easygoing wave.]
Yo, Ryugazaki. How's it been?
no subject
Busy, Yuuna-san. [Rei admitted, looking embarrassed.] Catching up on all of my school work took more time than I had bargained for.
[Not that he was ashamed of it. He did have his GPA to think about.]
Who are your new friends?
no subject
[She walked over, rolling her shoulders lazily and letting her posture relax a bit. The Growlithe immediately wanders up to Rei and sniffs him, tail wagging, while the Golett stays by her side.]
This is Tsurainu, Tsura for short. [The Growlithe's tail wags even faster] And this shy guy is Kuroshi. I found him in the ruins after that whole raid business.
no subject
[Tama had paused in his games by this point and was waving a fin at Yuuna from the fountain, saying 'hi' to his human's friend. The Marill was uninterested-- Yuuna wasn't wearing any glasses whatsoever, an that was so not cool.]
It must have been nice to wander freely after all the raids settled down. I was worried about you for a little while...but, everything seems to be all right now.
...I'd like to join you for another trip someday, but I'm not sure when we can plan that. I've still got a couple more years of school to get through after this one.
[And who knew what he had in store beyond that? His grades in math and science had the attention of various people in academia...but, after his escapade, he wasn't so sure that he would be comfortable staying on such a narrow track for his career.]
no subject
Well, you know you can think of it as field education, Rei. You know I'm a teacher, right?
[She reached down and ran a hand along Kuroshi's stony shell, smiling knowingly.]
no subject
[There were certain ways that teachers tended to carry themselves, whether they were classical instructors or not, when they were out doing what they loved. After spending time with Yuuna in the field, Rei would be lying if he said that he didn't already consider her to be a teacher of sorts.]
But the problem is convincing my parents and everyone else. I'm the first one to work with Pokemon like this for three generations in my family, and I'm sure that everyone expects me to finish school like my brother before making a decision like this.
no subject
[She folded her arms and nodded towards Tama and the others.]
Because unfortunately, it's not a decision that impacts just you. It's just as important to your companions there, you know. And there best interests are probably in you improving as a trainer first.
[And realizing she was lecturing, Yuuna shook her head and smiled fondly.]
Besides, it's not like it's a full time job, y'know. You can do that and take day trips.
no subject
[He said, casting a thoughtful glance over the three that had decided to hang out with him that afternoon. He knew Harima's boredom was the only reason why he had gone out and stolen every pair of sunglasses he could find in Union. Tama and Hanai were more tolerant of his studies, but that didn't stop either of them from finding their own ways to entertain themselves at his expense. Hanai had taken to laying all over his lap when he was reading, and Tama had a habit of dousing everything with water when he was bored enough.
It was no secret that he needed to prioritize better...and to work on his own skills as an individual. A part of him was glad that he had stayed in Union during all of those raids, because he knew that he would have proven to be a bigger liability than his inexperienced Pokemon.]
And I know I need to get myself stronger too, because you're right. We are a team...and we haven't had much practice yet. Daytrips are an alright place to start, but I know that we would love to take another, longer trip again someday. Hopefully it won't take us too long to do it.

Good. Tomorrow I'm heading to the Lake Shrine again, by the way. You're coming, so bring a lunch. If you haven't been, I promise you'll like it.

Action B
So like, if someone lost their glasses?
How are they supposed to see the sign?
Action B
Well, that-- [He cast the pokemon an irritated look.] Harima. Those arent for play!
no subject
Maybe he just thinks the frames are cute! You should be flattered and stuff.
no subject
...Whoa, how did his human even see like this?!]
--No, he's the reason why I'm putting up these signs. We can't be encouraging him.
[Already used to working without his lenses, Rei simply reached up to take the glasses back from the Pokemon. There was no way he'd be able to explain to his parents why he needed a new pair of they got broken.]
no subject
I mean, it's kind of hilarious? Does he like, just grab them from anyone?
no subject
Yes, he does. It's become a little bit of a problem over the last few weeks...
[Hence the flyers. Marill whined and pouted, puffing out his cheeks and crossing his arms in protest, as if none of this was his fault at all.]
no subject
What are you even gonna do with so many of them, little guy?
no subject
...I think he's a hoarder, [Rei replied cooly, clearly not amused. Though the Marill didn't care about what happened to the sunglasses after they were all collected, it was Rei who was left to deal with the mess.]

Sort of Action B lemme know if this is okay
So they come up with a plan. Murkrow is the distraction. Flapping over, he lands on Rei's head, bending over and looking down right into Rei's face. Staravia is waiting patiently, to steal the extra flyers that Rei is hanging around the city.
They'll give them back, they promise...]
pffffft OMG
Not even a beat passed before he opened his mouth.]
Eeh? Who are you?! Get off!
[He moved to push the bird off with a hand...but, the Marill seized the opportunity to slip out of Rei's grasp.]
No-- no! Wait! [Rei called as the Marill scampered off into the winding alley ways.] Harima! I didn't mean you!
ahahahahah
Murkrow chuckles, flapping off of Rei's head and mock caws at Rei, trying to imitate his cry as he also flies off to join Staravia in the sky, not too far above Rei's head.
Look, they have your stuff, mister.]
no subject
Aaaahh WHY IS THIS HAPPENING!?
[Shaking his head, he dropped the bag of sunglasses and took off after the fleeing Marill. The papers he could copy and the sunglasses he could replace, but the Pokemon was something special.]
HARIMA~~!! [He roared as his battle cry, chasing the Marill at full tilt. He wasn't on the track team for nothing-- he was pretty fast on land...for a human.]
no subject
Oh. They're coming at him really, really fast. So fast that he barely dodges to the side as the two of them blow past him and his other pokémon, his head following behind to see what was up.]
Gosh, I wonder what happened... [Shrugging, he turns around and sees...his own two mischievous birds giggling like little kids. Then it clicks. He turns around and starts running himself, really putting some effort into it. If Murkrow and Staravia had something to do with this, he had to help Rei...] Hey! Wait for me!
no subject
Rei didn't even spare a passing glance at the older man, and kept his focus squared on the bouncing little Marill that whose own speed was nothing compared to his human's. Years on the track team in town had benefited Rei and graced him with the speed, diligence, and precision that he needed to scoop the Pokemon up into his arms mid stride.
....and he kept going, without a look backward.]
Hold on, Harima, [he muttered between breaths, securng the squriming Marill in his grip as he sharply rounded the nearest corner without warning.
He didn't feel like talking to the other man at the moment. He needed to find the sunglasses and those two annoying birds.]
no subject
Waaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh!!!!! [He yelps as Rei turns the corner, and Goku almost misses the turn, skidding and grabbing a hold of the side of the building and launches himself down the street.] Hold on!!!! I think my pokémon have your things!
