[After meddling with the Warp band a little, Kai finally manages to make the video option work. The video shows a very happy looking kid, with a Taillow flying close to him. In the background, there is also a Torchic jumping around, trying to get in frame so he shows up in the video as well.]

I finally got this to work! Hello, anyone who uses the Warp Band. I'm Kai. I just wanted to test this new Warp Band out, you know. My team and I are finally leaving Union together, so see you around!

[If anywhere were to wander close to the gates of the city, they would most likely see a peculiar group. A Taillow who looked like it was giving a Torchic a lecture, a Squirtle that was hiding behind his trainer's leg and Kai, laughing at the scene.]

Relax, Jinora, he just wanted to be on video!

[ Arietta isn't really one to go up socially to people unless her Pokemon make her. Which is exactly what ends up happening in this situation. Arietta was heading out of the Union herself, but as passing by the other group. Her very righteous Pikachu had decided to take it upon herself to curiously go check out why the Torchic was trouble.

Which meant scurrying over to the other group inbetween the other two Pokemon. ]

[Jinora the Taillow stopped her lecture when she saw the Pikachu inbetween her and Ravi, the Torchic. Kai looks around and finally finds Arietta, who he guesses is the Pikachu's trainer.]

[It's a bit unusual to see someone else around his age with a Warp Band so Lucas responds pretty readily or three days late either/or]

Not really. I just want to explore! It's not my first time outside Union though.

Aha... You're braver than I am! My family and I actually lived outside when I was younger, but after I came back to Union, I didn't leave again for a really long time...

You should go look around the forest first. It's pretty safe now, I think, since everyone from Union has gotten so strong.

Really? But there's so much to explore out there and many Pokemons to bond with! You have some with you already, don't you?

Yeah. I've been out a lot more now...

[Lucas is a bit quiet for a moment or two.]

There's definitely lots to see, but you want to make sure you don't go anywhere that's too dangerous at first...

I'll make sure to keep myself close to Union in case anything happens! I wouldn't like my friends to get hurt.

You can take a look by the Shrine, if you'd like. It's pretty peaceful there... I don't know if anyone really knows what it's for, but I like going out for picnics.

Mostly like the rest of the forest... A lot of Grass and Bug types.

[Lucas pauses for a moment.]

You know how to bond with Pokemon already, though, right?

Yeah, they like to live in the forest.

[And Kai nods.]

I bonded with a Taillow when I was in the forest for the first time. That's how I learnt I could bond with Pokemon.

Most Pokemon are pretty friendly... I think people get scared more often than they should sometimes.

[Lucas falls silent for a moment.]

Um. That doesn't mean you shouldn't still be careful, though.

[Gods, that Torchic is just too cute. Feliks appears to be outside the walls somewhere, with a Rapidash peering curiously at the camera.]

[He has two, and they're his babies. Well, some of his babies. Okay, so maybe he babies about half the Pokemon he ever meets, but what's wrong with that?]

If it's your first time out? You could check out the scorched forest, south of the city. It's sort of cool looking, and like, I bet your Torchic would be into it!

Sounds like a good place to start! [The Torchic looks excited when he hears the word Scorched. That sounds like a fun place!]

[This is only occasionally true. Thankfully for Kai, this is one of those occasions!]

Anyway, it's like, not too far from the city, and there are some rad Pokemon there! It's where I met-- hold on a sec.

[There's a flash of light, and a Houndoom appears on his side of the feed. She looks a little disappointed that there's nothing to fight, and like her dignity is affronted when Feliks hugs her, literally sparkling.]

It's where I met Emilia, when I first started going outside the walls!

[And Kai looks really amazed when he sees his Pokemon.]

[If Kai had an interest in the tournament that was held when Team Evolution turned up, his name or face might be recognizable as one of the finalists who were promptly devastated by Rory's display of Mega Evolution. He's known as a member of a noble house, too, but unless he's into gossip, Kai's unlikely to know more about him than that.]
