[ Aqua hadn't used to the warpband to broadcast her own thing before, but there were certainly some questions that she wanted assistance on. Not that she couldn't figure it out on her own, but help was always appreciated. The warpband opens up to a blue-haired woman with a mildly concerned face along with a Dragonair lingering close by in the background. ]

I try not to clog up the network with my own things, especially with how busy I'm sure some of you are, but I'm in need of some information. I evolved about a week ago [ was it a week? She'd been so busy that she wasn't even certain. ] and only recently noticed that I seem to have gained a new typing.

What I'm asking for is some information on ghost types. I'm afraid to say that my knowledge in that field is a bit lacking. I'll certainly do something for you in return.

On ghost types? Is there anything in particular you're wanting to learn?

[He'd studied a few first-hand, though not as many as, say, normal-type or flying-type pokemon.]

[ Aqua can't help but smile gently at how tired the man looked. ]

You look tired. [ but to the point. ] I'd like to know more about their weaknesses and strengths. Perhaps more about the Pokemon in general.

[A faint smile comes to his lips.]

A lot of things have happened lately is all. But to the type of pokemon in general... I've observed that many ghost pokemon have either malicious tendencies or, more often in the more docile sorts, tricksters. I can tell you more about specific ghost-type pokemon if you want to know.

As far as weaknesses and strengths go - if we are speaking about combat, anyway - a strength and weakness is when fighting another of the same type. They are weak to others of their type. Some are rather frail, but powerful, while others are sturdy and shrug off many attacks. Normal and fighting-type moves do not affect them, so they possess that advantage, as well. Some ghost pokemon have been observed to be able to go through walls, as well.

[In some parts, it almost sounded as though he was reading from a book, though he was not doing so in the video feed.]

I suppose it shouldn't be of a surprise that they're a bit more mischievous than other Pokemon types. What Ghost Pokemon do you know about? Any that specialize more in special attack moves then physical?

So Ghost Pokemon are capable of phasing through objects?

[He chuckles softly.]

Well, I'm a pokemon researcher. I guess it's my job to know things about pokemon! Although, of course, there's lots I still don't know. The ghost pokemon I am most familiar with, however, are primarily the ones found around Union. So, Gastly, Duskull, Golett, Misdreavus, Shuppet, Drifloon, and others in their family. Based on observation, Gastly, Misdreavus, and Drifloon seem to favor special attacks while the others seem to favor physical ones.

[Aster nods to the last question.]

Seems that way! I haven't seen every ghost pokemon capable of it, though that doesn't have to mean anything either way.

I had no idea that there were so many around here. [ she never quite paid attention to them. ] What can you tell me about Drifloon?

I see, would this be because most of them are spirits?

There are some in the Mausoleum beneath the city, and then there are others that simply wander around Union. Quite a few people have bonded with the various ones around here, in fact, so that's where I've gotten to observe them.

Drifloon, you say? That one is pretty interesting. They're usually pretty small, and they don't weigh much. Despite that, they seem to be pretty sturdy in combat, and they seem to be better at special attacks rather than physical. Other the years I've studied pokemon, I've noticed more Drifloon appear during the wetter seasons, and they usually seem happier during them.

Oddly enough, they seem to rather like children, because many can be found with them, being tugged along by them.

[There were rumors he had heard, too, but...he hadn't found any proof of them being true.]

That could be it, but again, I'm uncertain.

Do you have one yourself?

They sound like an interesting Pokemon. Are they purely ghost, or our they another type as well? [ Hopefully all the questions weren't being a bother... ] I wonder why they like children so much.

Hrm.., perhaps it's something we'll learn overtime.

[Aster shakes his head.]

Not yet. I'm sure I'll make friends with one at some point, though I usually tend to watch from afar.

Part ghost, part flying, I believe! I've been somewhat interested in them myself, though I haven't gotten the opportunity to approach more than one of them.

[He doesn't answer the part about children. The rumors said that sometimes children that were seen with Drifloon disappeared... Not that he had proof of it, but that's what some people said.]

My family knows a lot about Ghost types. What do you need?

I'd like to know more Pokemon that are ghost. Are they truly ghosts, as in dead?

I've heard stories that sometimes dead Pokemon come back as ghosts, but I've also seen ghost type Pokemon being born that way from eggs. So I'm not really sure. They're very mysterious.

Yes, it sounds like it. Are they a rare find, I might try to catch one myself. [ it'd certainly be nice, having a Pokemon of a same typing of her. ]

There are a lot of them in the mausoleum. I'm sure you'll find one if you go there.

You say that your family knows a lot about Ghost-types? Why is that? [ a beat ] Do you know any Ghost Pokemon that are also water?

There are a lot of Ghost type Enlightened in my family, and a lot of us train with Ghost types. There are so many here that our neighborhood has gotten a reputation for being haunted.

I don't know of any ghosts like that, I'm sorry...

[Too bad Frillish aren't a thing yet.]

Oh. [ she probably would have known that she actually bothered to explore and get to know the Union. ah well.. ] It's fine, we haven't explored the whole world. Who knows, there may be one out there.

I do have another question though. What do you know of ghost-typed moves?

I can use a few of them myself, and I have five Ghost types of my own that I'm training, so I've seen a lot of them. Is there one in particular you wanted to know about?

I have more of a personal interest in the special attack moves. The only one I know of is Shadow Ball.

I've also heard that most ghost moves are status-inflicting?

Uh huh. A lot of them are. But there's stuff like Night Shade and Hex, too.

Actually, if you'd like to train, my cousin Maya runs a school here that specializes in Ghost types.

yeah... I'm both things, have been since I was born I think

I see, I had no idea. [ Though they did only meet once. ] How do you find it. Being a Ghost Enlightened?

it's... interesting, sometimes when I'm not paying attention things just... go through me

And I feel a lot more comfortable at night, it feels more refreshing, but that might be because I' also a dark type so I'm not sure

They do? That has to feel weird. I hope that I haven't gained that ability.

Hrm, it could be that it's a mixture of both.

you can try and see if you can go through things, maybe a lamp or something? or maybe something that's related to your other typing.

most ghosts can float so maybe try doing that? oh! or maybe it'll be easier for you to swim?

Easier for me to swim. I can't see how that would be of much use. [ She doesn't exactly go swimming often. ]

I suppose I can try seeing if I can phase through something.

[Vanitas just shrugs, not really sure how it'll be useful really, maybe you can float over the water or something, but he's not gonna say that because that sounds ridiculous even to him]

phasing through things is fun, just be careful, stuff can fall on you when you don't do it right

Hi there. Congratulations on your evolution. I'm Yuui. [Most of his appearance, with his ridiculously long pink, fluffy, sparkling hair, speaks of his fairy typing, the only exception so far being his eyes which glow a very soft red.] I'm part ghost as well so I should be able to answer at least some of your questions.

What's your primary typing? If you don't mind me asking.

Oh, thank you. [ Aqua takes notice of the eyes quickly. ] Have you always been part ghost?

I used to be purely water. My typing changed with this evolution.

I have, yes. It's not my primary typing, which you can probably see, and until I evolved you could hardly tell it was there, but for some reason both me and my brother exhibited signs of our secondary typing very clearly just after we were born so I've always known about it.

But that is really interesting. I suppose since pokémon can lose and gain typing when they evolve, or even have it change completely, the same thing should work for enlightened as well but I don't think I've ever come across it before. How did it manifest?

I see. I've met plenty of people where you could easily tell their second typing. I suppose I've always assumed that it would be the same for me.

Mostly in my abilities. I noticed it only recently while I was training with my Pokemon. I was able to use a ghost-type move. I've evolved a few weeks ago, so it was certainly unexpected.

Yes that seems to usually be the case. When I was younger I actually kind of enjoyed not having my ghost side be too obvious at first glance. Less friction with the family, and it made it easier for people to underestimate me because they thought they had me all figured out. [He smiles.] Not that I mind it showing now. Actually I think it's one of the changes I like most.

And there's been no sighs of any ghost abilities before that? No better than normal resistance against poison or anything like that at all?

Your family assumed that you were all fairy? I can see how that would be useful..

[ now that you mention it. ] If I've always been ghost-typed, that may explain why I was able to survive being poisoned a time before.

[He makes a small face and then tries to mask it with a smile.]

Oh no, my family has always known. What with me showing obvious ghost traits until I was a couple of weeks old. I was more referring to people my own age.

[He nods.] It could. Though I'm not sure if there's anyway of knowing for sure. Anyway you wanted to know ghost things, right? So do you have any questions in particular of should I just ramble on a bit?

Ghost types are very sneaky people, so don't be surprised to discover yourself getting shiftier, and gaining a really questionable sense of humor. I'm very sorry about that. [He is very clearly taking the piss, and this is probably the least helpful information to receive in the history of ever.]

[ Aqua doesn't mind the quite unhelpful information, she did know how to take what she assumed was a joke after all. ]

I hope I don't become 'shiftier', I doubt my Pokemon would appreciate it.
