[Video/Action] First Prayer: Enter Rei Hino (Backdated to before the announcement)
Video
[So, what's the first thing Rei does when she gets the video set up on her Warp Band is to
turn it on and study it skeptically. She doesn't really have a lot to say, but she figures that since she finally caved and got it upgraded at Grandpapa's insistence. She didn't want him to worry overmuch when she finally did decide to go outside Union, and that was simply the only reason she'd bothered with it at all.
There's a short cawwing sound, and a Murkrow lands on the girl's shoulder, nudging her with it's beak. Clearly it wants her to say something...and Rei gives the bird an exasperated look.]
Oh alright...[She waves it off before giving the camera a smile. It's a little forced, like she's uncomfortable, but all the same she addresses the camera.]
Hello there. This is Phobos and my name is Rei. It's nice to speak to all of you. I'm likely going to be leaving Union for the day, so I thought I'd make sure my Warp Band was fully functional. I assume it is, so I think I'll be going, but feel free to contact me if there's something you have to say. I just wanted to introduce myself.
[An odd pause...and she nods, seemingly satisfied with just that. She's not terribly keen on using this video device, but it is an expected thing, so she'll make the attempt. All the same, off the feed goes now!]

[And true to her word, Rei exits Union's gates that afternoon. A quiver and bow slung over her shoulder, with Phobos the Murkrow and Deimos the Ralts at her side, she heads off towards the forest. Something about today had just seemed rather auspicious, and the night before she'd received a vision in the flames, a premonition that she needed to be leaving Union today. She hadn't gotten much more than that, but it was clear that today was a day of destiny! And that meant getting out like she'd been secretly planning to do for months and months. Grandpapa had supported it for the most part, though his condition was, of course, the Warp Band so she'd obliged him.
Wherever she does, she's moving with a purpose, keeping her eyes peeled for things that might or might not change her life forever. Certainly the land outside was lovely enough to be worth the trip anyway. And if that was all the hunch she'd gotten meant, well...she could deal with that. It wasn't like every single vision had to lead to something astounding, after all.]

Michiru smiles, even as Togepi tries to join in by splashing around too. Thankfully for Rei, the eggbaby isn't that good at it, given how short her arms are.]
At least they're not bored. [and at least none of them are Water types. There would be a distinct advantage in a splash fight.]

Eevee feels a splash coming from behind her and ahh! A traitor?? She sends a (miniature) Surf attack (by hitting the water with her paws and making somw waves) towards Deimos before she realizes. Wait. It was the eggbaby.

I can see that. They seem to be a well matched pair.

Haha, I found them together, actually. When I was a little girl. They've been inseparable ever since!

I'm glad to see they're getting along with Martelé. She doesn't get along with my other Pokemon.
[Togepi looks like she's in no danger of crying, however, aaaand might be waddling on over to Deimos because hey! There's more splashing here, so it means there's more fun, right?
Heck, even Eevee looks like she's having fun.]

Well, sometimes all it takes is the right combination of fun and personality to bring out the best in Pokemon.
[There's an awkward pause as Rei realizes uncomfortably that this also applies to herself.]
Or...people. Either way, she'll warm up with time.

Michiru stretches her arms above her head for a moment, and then finally slides all the way in, water lapping at her neck.
At least Haruka isn't here. All evidence indicate that there would've been a bad joke about warming up and hot springs.]

I think it's well placed, Michiru-san.
[And unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately for Rei), the noise and splashing seems to have attracted an audience. Not far off, sitting on it's heels and inspecting the pair and their pokemon is a wild one. A Growlithe, nose twitching and little tail wagging.]
And...hah...I think we may have been disturbing the locals.

And when Eevee notices the Growlithe, she might be trying to puff up a bit and look more impressive, but alas. She's totally drenched and with her drenched fur, it's really easy to tell how small she is.]
It seems more curious, than anything. [a glance at Rei. Didn't you want to meet a Fire type?]

[Rei is definitely looking hard at the Growlithe, turning to rest her arms on the edge of the pool and looking at the fire type. It...seems friendly, yes, and it's ignoring Eevee entirely. Togepi gets a placating look, along with a doggy smile...but for the most part it seems rather intent on Rei.]
I wonder what it might want...?
[She's a little unclear about what to do with it...but those big brown eyes are rather intense. And it's about that instant that she feels a certain clicking sensation. This, as much as anything, is the connection she was meant to find. Perhaps it knew her in a past life? That wasn't an unheard of thing, in certain religious circles...but either way, it takes a cautious step closer.]
