[Video - July 17th, Afternoon]

[When the feed clicks on, it shows an extreme closeup of the tongue of a Shellder, which eventually hops back so it can be seen in all its glory. For some reason, it appears to be wearing a tiny admiral's hat and an eyepatch, and it lets out a disturbing gurgling sort of laughing sound.]

Shellder! Shell shell!

[Situated in the background of the shot is Squid Girl, tied to a chair with her tentacles bound and a gag shoved in her mouth. She's angrily hopping up and down in the chair, but ultimately failing at getting herself loose. Finally, she at least manages to spit out the gag.]

Someone kelp! The Clam squidnapped me and tied me up in this stupid warehouse!

[The Shellder snaps around to shoot an Icicle Spear attack at Squid Girl, hitting her right in the face with it. And with another gurgly laugh, he hops over and shuts off the feed.]

[Video - July 17th, 20 minutes later]

[The feed flicks back on just a scant 20 minutes later to show the Clam once again. Squid Girl is still tied up to her chair, as is one Feliks Łukasiewicz. There is also a Rapidash caught in a Whirlpool in the corner of the room. It seems the first rescue attempt did not go quite as planned.]

Shellderrrrrr!

[After that quick bit of gloating, the feed once again cuts out.]

((OOC: There will be two subthreads on this post - one locked to Feliks for the initial failed rescue attempt, and a second one for anyone coming in after that to try to rescue them both. Everyone can feel free to just pile on the same thread for that in a giant free-for-all. The Clam is devious, will be using a Water Stone to evolve into Cloyster halfway through, and has one or two other tricks, but at the end of the day he's only one Pokemon. Have fun with it!

Anyone wanting to respond to either of the Video prompts can also try to talk to the Clam, presuming any Kindred Souls happen to feel like tagging this. He'll respond with ridiculous villain monologues worthy of late 1970s Saturday morning superhero cartoon shows, just like his namesake.))

[He hadn't actually expected to drag it in so easily, but he supposes this speaks to the power of the Clam's own whirlpool. ...Also the strength of the string of his Enhanced weapon. As Lucas and the Clam swirl around and around, he'll try to pull himself closer to the Cloyster... and hop on if he can without being hit by the beams of ice.]

[Nate too tries to dodge the Aurora Beams, following Apollo. He's going to try and help Squid Girl to her feet as well.

Timburr grits his teeth, planting both his feet. He concentrates, and forms a large rock in one of his hands, lobbing it into the whirlpool in an attempt to knock The Clam out of it.]

[The Aurora Beams are easy enough to dodge, haphazard as they are. And by this point, the Clam is getting kind of dizzy. Several things happen here at once, though.

Lucas climbs onto the Clam.

Nate's Timburr hits it head-on with that big rock.

Apollo cuts Squid Girl's bonds.

All of this happens more or less at the same time, the effect of which being the Clam goes sailing through the air as the whirlpool finally dissipates underneath everyone, with Lucas hanging on. Squid Girl sees it flying and takes this chance to shoot out four tentacles to wrap it up, dragging it down to the ground. Conveniently, this also frees Poland's Rapidash from the smaller whirlpool in the corner, which presumably wants to check on its Trainer.

Squid Girl, meanwhile, is hopping mad.]

Okay, what's the big squidding deal, Clam!

[Don't mind Lucas; he'll just be lying dizzily on the ground for a moment or two next to the Cloyster as they land. Where in the world had that rock come form?]

You okay, little one? That was a risky move you did just now.

[Nami goes over to Lucas and helps him sit up. She looks over to Clam.]

Clam, you better give it to us an answer or else.

[The Clam literally clams back up, closing its shell and just sitting there. The Children of the Verdant Forest can feel that it's angry and pouting at this point.]

Stupid Clam...

I'm OK!

[Lucas's eyes will roll around for a moment or two before he shakes his head a little. A quick burst of light as he heals himself - he smiles.]

Um. ....What is it that he's mad at you about...?

I might have said some things about an inkvasion and making the humans crawl and beg before our watery might or... uh... somefin, when we first met. So he got a squiddle bit impatient, I guess.

... well, that kind of explains it.

[Nate's going to frown, putting his hands on his hips]

You should watch what kind of impressions you leave on your Pokemon. I mean... I'm not really one to talk, but still...!

Squid Girl.... An inkvasion. Really? You should be more careful with your promises too.

I think I even said maybe the two of you could come to some sort of compromise....

So um. Maybe less compromise and more explain why that's a really bad thing to do...

Hey, it was his fault! He should have known it was just a joke!

["Seriously?", says the intonation.]

[It's unclear how much of the comment is aimed at the inkvasion, and how much is aimed at how he's still tied up and tagged. A little help here? Besides the Rapidash who's alternately nibbling on the ropes and sort of contemplating setting them on fire.]

[Sorry no one remembers Feliks and they all happily leave, arm in arm, harmony restored once more log end everyone celebrate!

It sounds like you must have brought it up a lot for him to be this angry...

[Lucas will just get up and meander over towards Feliks and his Rapidash and try to help take off the gags.]

Oh yeah, whoops.

[Squid Girl blinks back at Feliks after she hears him.]

Uh... thanks for trying too. But you shouldn't bring Fire types to a fight with Water types, y'know.

[And then she sighs at Lucas.]

Yeah, I guess. Once or twice.

You can't really treat a Pokemon like a human, you know. [Nate shakes his head] Even I know that. He probably took it completely seriously.

Dude, I came with who I was training with, and you saw it, he totally trapped me in that whirlpool before I could get to my Warp Band!

It was lame to the max.

At least I trained him well, I guess. It would have been pretty awesome if he was using it on a bunch of Sharpedo instead of me and my friends.

So, um.

...Are the two of you going to reconcile?

[The Clam seems to be unresponsive still.]

Hey.

[Squid Girl reaches out with a tentacle to tap on the Clam's shell.]

Hey.

[Tap tap tap.]

Open up already!

[TAP TAP TAP TAP - and then it opens up for a brief moment to spit water in her face before closing again.]

I, uh... I guess I'll just take him home.

... I don't know if I'm qualified to say this, but it's kind of unclear which of you is in charge.

[Timburr just sighed and shook his head]

Aha... Well, I'm just glad everyone's OK.

[...]

Everyone is OK, right? Does anyone need to be healed up...?

I could, like, maybe use a little help?

[Seriously, Feliks, who brings two fire types to a water fight?]

Oh --

[And Lucas will quickly move over and Lay on Hands. If Feliks's injuries are too severe, he'll still need some more medical attention, but he can handle the smaller stuff.]

Well... all's well that ends well!

[Never mind that this is basically her fault to begin with.]
