[OPEN] [ACTION] Reading in the park, or This is why Lute needs a Pokemon sitter.
[Ah, a fine afternoon in the local park. Lovely weather for some outdoor leisure. But Lute is a huge nerd, so maybe that's why he's currently sitting on a bench perusing a large book. There is a Ralts next to him, equally absorbed in their reading. But maybe he should be paying a little more attention to whats going on around him.
Like the Skiddo laying next to the small stack of books next to the bench. It has the top book open and is slowly and thoughtfully chewing on the pages.
Or perhaps the Misdreavus hovering behind his head, who appears to be trying braid his hair. It's got some flowers to decorate him with too. That'll be fun.
But he should really be paying more attention to the two flying Pokemon in the trees behind him. At first glance, they appear to be playing tag. But a closer inspection reveals that the Hoothoot seems to be having trouble seeing clearly in the bright sunlight. Aren't they nocturnal anyway? The poor thing must be nearly blind out here. That would be enough of a handicap, without the Pidove deliberately leading it towards branches and other obstacles. And occasionally looping around behind it to push the poor Hoothoot into things.]

[The little bird hoots excitedly. Lute smiles at Lenna.]
Thank you. I don't know if I would've thought of that one.
no subject
You're welcome. I hope you're able to find something.

[Suddenly a flower crown is plopped on Lenna's head. It's made of clovers and daisies. That little Misdreavus got bored it seems.]
no subject
[Lenna turns around, giggling.]
Thank you very much!

That's Scherzo. She seems to really like... decorating people.
[Which may be why she just started artfully tossing flower petals on his head. More flowers means more pretty.]
no subject
She's very good at it!

She certainly has an eye for color. She has a collection of colored ribbons that she likes to tie onto my clothes.
[Bright colors. All the time. Forever.]
I keep telling her she shouldn't decorate people without permission though.

[Lenna smiles up at the little ghost, nodding.]
no subject
Careful, she'll take that as an invitation.
[Yeah, she just might. In fact she's flying back to the bench to get her little bag of ribbons.]
Ah, see? There she goes.
no subject
[Calling after the ghost.]

Mis, misdreav, mis~! {You're going to be so pretty~!}
[Spoilers: She is actually going to look ridiculous. Lute just laughs.]
She must be pretty excited. Most people aren't such good sports about this.
no subject
I can't see why. She's so sincere about it.

[He trails off, trying to think of a nice way to say 'but she's really bad at it.'
Meanwhile Scherzo is humming a cheerful tune while tying various lengths of ribbon to random bits of her hair. All in different horribly clashing shades of pink.]

Um, I suppose with enough practice....anything is possible, right?
no subject
...So how does it look?
no subject
[Nice way to say it, think of a nice way to say it.... Especially because Scherzo is looking at him so expectantly.]
…Very unique. Avant-garde even. I've definitely never seen a hairstyle like that before.
no subject
[Right over her head.]
no subject
[Yeah, that's it. Too bad they don't. Scherzo sure looks proud of her handiwork though...]

[He can not in good conscience let a lady walk home looking like that. Especially not such a nice one.]
I mean, I just thought of something. Isn't there a pond over there? You might be able to see your reflection in that...
no subject
[Last chance to stop her or try to fix this before she sees what your Misdreavus has done to her wonderful bubblegum pink locks.]
no subject
[He follows her awkwardly and Scherzo flies alongside him in excitement. Sadly he is out of ideas on how avoid this very unfortunate reveal.]
no subject
...Oh!
[That is probably not what one would describe as 'pleasantly surprised.' And after a moment's awkward pause, Lenna flails her arms, tipping forward and into the pond.]
Ohhhhhhhh! Oh, no! I fell in the water and ruined your pretty ribbons! I'm so sorry! I'll have to take them home and wash them out!
[Yes, good, master level performance. She starts carefully removing the ribbons from her hair.]
no subject
Oh! Um, that really is too bad....
[The Misdreavus is a little disappointed, but she pats Lenna on the top of her head comfortingly, since she's clearly just as upset...]
