Hey! How are you guys doing?

[The video shows the cheerful face of Goku today, looking like he just got done with a workout.]

Y'see, Machop and I have been putting in some extra training and he sorta wants to test his strength against someone else. He could just fight me all day, but-! [He looks over and grins at Machop for a second.] I think a little variety would do him some good. So if anyone wants to, he'll be ready to go tomorrow. I think he needs a little breather for now. I sure did give him a good workout today, right Machop? [As to which the pokémon responds happily.]

Oh, and something else- [But before Goku has a chance to finish his sentence, there's a resounding CRASH from behind, to which he turns around. From behind Goku's head is a giant mess of pots and pans that had come crashing down from above the stove, and Klink looking very guilty.]

Waaaaahhhh! Klink, you gotta be a little more careful! It's alright, I'll get it in a second. [Turning back around-] Well, what I was gunna ask if if anyone had anything to help Klink from running into stuff all the time, he tries his hardest but I can't seem to manage to get him to stop running into things... [He scratches his head a few times, in thought.]

Alright, yeah, we can do that tomorrow then, sure. Maybe it'll help push Gouken into his next evolution. That'd be kind of awesome.

[She peers at the Klink and the man with the weird hair and smiles, very fondly. He looks like the kind of guy she can respect, seeing how he's trying to take care of his friend. And clearly, he's a fighter too.]

Yuuna. Yuuna Sugasawa. It's lovely to meet you, Goku. [And she jerks a thumb up at Zedd the Magnemite.]

You could always try and make friends with a magnet pokemon like this one. He'd be able to keep Klink stable.

[He looks off to the side of Yuuna to see Zedd.] Well, it can't hurt to try. Besides, I'm sure Klink would like a few more friends, wouldn't you Klink?

[He looks back to beckon Klink over, which is probably the worst idea in the history of ideas.]

[Zedd settles into a lazy, stable orbit around Yuuna's head, but it's eye remains focused on the camera.] Well you can go down into the Old City and find one I'm sure. They're all over the place, if you look near old machines. Though...they're a little odd. I mean, they're robotic, so they aren't really alive or anything like we are.

But one might be able to do something to Klink's magnetic fields and stabilize him.

I'll make sure to go look there. Thanks, Yuuna. [And as he's speaking, Klink happily floats over, hitting a dish that was hanging halfway off of a table on its way over. Goku hears it, and thankfully with quick reflexes dives to catch the plate before it hits the ground.]

Whew! I guess I should clean up around here first. That was a close one.

Sure, sure. [She shrugs and settles in to watch, because this is too funny.]

Is he new?

Yeah, I just picked him up the other day. Klink's great, buuuuut there's still a few things we've got to work on. I wouldn't trade him for anything else in the world, though.

[Goku places the plate back on the table, in a much more secure place so another accident hopefully won't happen.]

Oh, I know what that's like. Kyojira here I only met yesterday and I already never want to let him go.

[And hearing his name, the young Larvitar waddles up and makes a cooing noise. He wants to see too...]

[At the sight of Kyojira, Goku's face lights up.]

Hey little guy! What have you been up to lately, huh?

[Okay, being paid attention to makes him super happy. He makes a sound of enjoyment, something along the lines of Lar Lar!, and Yuuna picks him up and squeezes his little tummy.]

He's such a cutie, you don't even know. He tried to pretend he was a rock when I found him. But now he won't go five minutes without hugging me.

Huh! I bet he thinks you're his mom. [Goku takes another good look at the pokémon, smiling.]

Oh I doubt that. He's a real fighter. No way he thinks that!

[All the same, the Larvitar squirms and coos, wiggling his tail.]

And I hear he'll evolve into a real beast.

Him? Naw. [He looks right at Larvitar, and starts talking to it in a baby voice.]

You're too cute to turn into a big scary monster, aren't you? Yes you are!

Lar Lar!

[He squirms and Yuuna let's him go, so Kyo runs over to the warp band and peers into it.]

Actually, he'll become a Tyranitar eventually. Though, I think maybe only the wild ones are the ones that are aggressive. Either way, he'll be my cute boy for a while, and then I'm sure he'll be a big, strong fighter.

Hey there! I'm Goku. [He smiles at Kyo, head in his hand. But his next words are addressing Yuuna.]

It's hard to believe he'll grow into something that large. [He's pretty sure he's heard of a Tyranitar.] But I guess that's how it is with pokémon, huh? It's great to get to watch them grow up.

Yeah, I can't really wait to see it. I mean, I've heard Tyranitar get really big, bigger than people. And I think maybe it'd make him more confident if he got to.

[Now he just seems curious though]

Makes you wonder, really, how all that evolution stuff works.

I don't know, but it sure is incredible when it happens. Still, I always thought of it as them growing older, just like us. Except our changes happen gradually, and theirs are pretty sudden. But then some pokémon never evolve! I don't really know.

[This is way too much thinking for Goku, his brain is going to start to hurt.]

Yeah, but what about the ones that need stones? Or need to be traded? That's really different.

[Scratching her chin, because this is too much thought for her too.]

Gosh, I didn't think about that. [More brainbreaking noooooooo]

I'm no scientist, but I don't know if they're even gunna be able to figure it out. I hate to think what they'd have to do to a pokémon to really understand how it all works.

Well, I don't think they'd do anything too bad. I mean...you know...I think they've probably learned their lesson.

[Spoken like a historian...]

And the laws are there for a reason.

I guess that's true. Maybe sometimes it's just best we leave things to mystery!

[If they evolve, they evolve, and that's really all he cares about.]

Some things maybe. But there should never be a mystery about what's on the horizon.

[She nods twice, sharp jerks of her head.]

[He gives Yuuna a wide-eyed look, and blinks a few times.]

Sorry Yuuna, but I don't think I quite understand what you mean by that.

[Oh, she's just being weirdly poetic...and forgetting he's clearly a little dense.]

Well you said some things are best left unknown, and I was trying to say that yeah...but only sometimes. I mean, you should never stop looking forward, Goku. Like, never stop exploring, try to solve those mysteries.

I wouldn't ever stop. [Stated with a grin and with confidence.] If by what you mean is exploring around here and solving the mysteries of our world, I couldn't ever give up on that until we found as much as we could. But, I understand what you mean by that now.

Exactly what I mean. [She grins] There's just too much out there, and so much to do that it'd be a sin to not get out and see as much as we can.

And that includes pokemon. There are just so many kinds and there's so much they can teach us.

[She looks fondly at something at her feet, and reaches down to pick up a young poliwag.]

Take this guy for instance. I learned more from him in five seconds than I did from twenty years around people.
