Yuui's days, or at least the days he spent in Union, were usually set to a pretty strict schedule. It had been set in motion by his family but even away from them he found that he actually rather liked most of the routine and had kept up most of it even after he'd left home. It usually went like this: He got up early, making himself and any pokémon awake with him breakfast and puttering about a bit around the apartment. At about half past ten, if Fai has yet to make his appearance, he made a second breakfast for his brother and any pokémon not yet fed, opening the door to Fai's room to let the smell of food and coffee do its magic, (and if that failed force were always an amusing option). He usually kept company with Fai, taking the time enjoying a second cup of coffee, and afterwards left the dishes with him as he went into his study to take care of his duties towards the family business until lunch. After that his days varied, based mostly on what Fai was doing and the amount of work he had to accomplish but all in all he began his days in mostly the same way.
However these last few days things has been different and Yuui couldn't deny that it was making him feel slightly out of joint. After his family had made the decision to cut Fai off Yuui had gotten into his own argument with them after which he made it clear that until they took that back Yuui was done being the good son for them and walked out on his own. He hadn't been prepare for how good that had felt. He also hadn't been prepared for finding out how many hours he actually spent on the family business now that he had to find something else to do with that time. So not only was he feeling at a loss because he didn't have anything to do, his routine had been disturbed as well.
He tried to mask it as best he could, mostly by still spending most of his mornings in his study, since he didn't want Fai to worry but he knew that it was only a matter of time before his brother figured out what was wrong.
"Fai! Breakfast is ready!"
Oh well, he would worry about that when the time came. Right now he had the chaos of breakfast to deal with, and everything else would just have to wait.

Strangely, that for once didn't make him wish that he could take it all back, fix things somehow. Remembering the reason for that made him smile, in that especially silly way of people who are young and in love, and he found enough energy to disentangle himself from a disgruntled Rumpleteazer and flop out of bed. Breakfast didn't sound so bad, after all.
And there was that other thing. He'd started to notice that something was off with Yuui, and like a truly loving twin, this had of course prompted Fai to snoop. It was dreadfully hard to keep things away from a determined Psychic/Flying type with a lot of resourceful friends, and so it hadn't taken that long for Fai to realize that while Yuui still locked himself up in the study, he wasn't actually doing anything. Well, not anything he normally did, at least. He was a little hurt that Yuui clearly was hiding something, but also incredibly curious, so it was really about time that he asked, right?
"Morning~." As tired and boneless as he was feeling, it was still important to be polite, after all. Fai poured himself into a chair and slumped over the table. "What's breakfast?" Okay, but he couldn't be expected to be too polite, right?

"Waffles. With which you can choose to have either butter, jam or syrup. Or I suppose you could be brave and have them all but personally I wouldn't recommend it."
There was a bit of chaos when he went on to serve the rest of the pokémon. Sort of like trying to serve a table full of ravenous five-year-olds who all insisted that they were the ones who should be served first and anything else would be the hight of unfairness. Nonetheless, somewhere in all that mess Fai's coffee still managed to somehow appear in front of him, even though he'd have to add the correct amount of cream and sugar on his own.
It took a couple of minutes but soon enough the mayhem around the kitchen quiets down enough for Yuui to sit down at the table opposite of Fai with his own cup of coffee in front of him, and lift up Moko in his lap to feed her small pieces of waffles together with some pecha-berry jam. By which time he also felt pretty sure that Fai should be awake enough to communicate more properly. And if not, well, bully for him.
"So. Got any plans for the day?"
