[Eri's tone is sharp and businesslike as the feed opens]

Greetings, everybody. I have not been in Union for very long, but I have been told that the city holds an organization quite similar to the Steel Battalion of my homeland. As I am... liable to be living here for awhile, I think this might be the best fit for me, I was already in training to join the Steel Battalion back home. Does anybody have information on the Swords of the Savior? Can they confirm or deny the similarities?

[Eri can be found in an open training hall. It's been a bit since she has trained and if she is to join the Swords of the Savior she had best make a good impression. Today, she is armed with a slim rapier, and is going through some basic forms. What is of note, however, is she doesn't move in a very conventional manner. The forms themselves would be on their own somewhat recognizable even to a Union swordsman, but her movements are fluid and graceful, almost more of a dance than an attack]

[Nozomi normally didn't take this way back to the Toujou estate, but for some reason she felt like taking the scenic route. The Swords didn't actively interest her, however, happening to catch something out of the corner of her eye, she stopped.

That was Eri there, wasn't it? She didn't look at all like a fighter, and yet...

She wasn't in too much of a rush, she could watch for a bit. If asked, she'd say it was Mithra's idea.]

[Eri doesn't notice Nozomi's arrival and continues going through the forms, adding improvisations as she gets into a rhythm that incorporate increasingly more dance-like movements]

[She didn't want to interrupt, even as Eri's stances seemed to change. It was more like a performance than fighting, and she was more than a bit impressed. When Eri does eventually stop or take a break, she'll be welcomed by clapping from both Nozomi and the newly evolved Mithra.]

[Which is greeted by a red face and a startled yelp]

[So much for being serious and intense. Nozomi resists the urge to giggle a bit.]

I didn't know you could use a sword like that.

[Not even sorry.]

I wouldn't have been training for the Steel Legion if I couldn't manage it.

It's fun to watch. It looks more like a dance than fighting.

[As it so happens, Chie also comes here to train and practice her moves every so often. She hadn't expected anyone to already be here. But when she sees Eri and her sword dance, she stops in the doorway, entranced by the graceful motions. She's just going to stand there and watch for a little while.]

[Showing no indication of having noticed Chie, Eri's eyes flash a deeper blue as she extends one arm and sends a sheet of ice out in front of her which she skates a half-circle on and weaves into a spinning slash]

Whoa...!

[Chie didn't really want to interrupt, but that was both unexpected and awesome.]

[Which promptly startles Eri, who falls flat on her butt]

Oh sheesh, sorry...!

[Chie comes running over to offer a hand up.]

[Eri takes it gratefully]

It's OK, you just startled me is all. I'm still getting used to making ice out here.

[ ....huh. Haruka watches from the back of the room for a while, taking in the girl's fighting style and trying to place it. She...can't.

Interesting.

Pulling on a face mask, she steps up to Eli and salutes her with a rapier of her own, not bothering to preface her request for a match. Only one way to really see what you're made of. ]

[Eri swallows hard but returns the salute and assumes a wary, defensive stance]

[ Haruka smirks behind her mask and settles into a ready position. She'll wait until it looks like her impromptu opponent is ready as well - then immediately lunges, aiming for a shoulder touch.

The foil speeds towards the target. She's not part Flying-type for nothing. ]

[erichika]

[She's quick! Eri drops to her knees and leans back, using her dancer's flexibility to drop under the thrust of the blade and counterattacking with a quick slash at Haruka's wrist, hopefully before she can reverse the position of the blade]

[ You're good. Haruka doesn't retrieve her rapier in time, but she does manage to barely twist her arm out of the way. Better bring this up as a guard and fall back, presenting as small a target as she can. ] Not bad.

[erichika]

[Eri pushes off with her legs and leaps into a pirouette, bringing her blade around with one quick revolution to bring it down on Haruka]

[ It's that girl from before. Maki almost moves past the post, but decides she might as well respond, even if it's brief. ]

You want to join something like that? I suppose my father or mother might know someone high up in the structure to talk to you..

Voice;

[erichika]

It's a duty I've been preparing for for many years, so it's probably the best course of action for me.

[Something in her tone says "want" is definitely not the write word]

It can't be helped I guess.

[ When it's dealing with other people's issues, Maki is a lot better at being observant and helpful though. ]

If it's really what you actually want to do.

It's a duty I have.

Voice;

A duty you have, and something you want to do, are two completely different things. So which is it?
