A - [12:37PM]
[Laurent is holed up in the archives today, as usual, looking through old books in the University library and going through them page by page. He's a real egghead, so he actually enjoys doing this, believe it or not. What he doesn't like so much is the dust, which is making him sneeze more often than usual. So he's taken his findings (about six large texts) out to a quiet park near the University and sat down at one of the tables usually used for chess. Instead, he has the books strewn around, and he's writing in a blank page journal that seems to be mostly filled already with a fountain pen. His Solosis is bouncing around nearby and generally being more interesting than Laurent himself, getting grass stuck to himself every time the gelatinous ball rolls on the ground.]
B - [5:26PM]
[After school, Laurent can usually be found in the Business or Residential Areas either heading home or simply people and Pokemon watching as he shops. His mother gives him a small monthly allowance so he's decided to stop by Pokeco to see if he should get anything for his Pokemon friend. He's tried his hardest, but Solosis has gotten a bit spoiled... The young man is looking around the different products with his bag still full of books to continue reading at home and his Solosis on his shoulder wobbling excitedly.]

A!
Finally, Albert emerges empty handed but with directions from a librarian that a student checked out the book he was looking for. He sets out to the park with Gerty to find him, not intending to ask or the book, just see it long enough to write down the information for later.]
Excuse me?
no subject
One moment please.
[It's too like him to favor his studies over social interaction, unless someone's in need of immediate help. He finishes up copying a definition into his book before setting down his pen.]
What is it...?

[The professor's face relaxes with a smile. He rather likes Laurent and his studious nature even if he can come off as abrupt and impatient at first meeting. Albert was like that at a young age as well, though with a major dash of bashfulness.]
I was wondering if I could copy some information from one of the books you checked out. It seems you managed to grab the last copy.
no subject
[It's not uncommon for Laurent to look nonplussed, but he actually gives Albert a small smile.]
Of course. Which text was it? They're at your disposal more than my own, after all.
no subject
[He joins Laurent on the grass, setting his bag aside to draw out a pen and a notebook before reaching for the book. Gertrude wanders over to bleat a hello at Solosis, deciding another nap can wait for now in the face of being social.]
Are you enjoying your classes so far this year?

B!
Excuse me, do you mind if I squeeze in here?
no subject
Ah, excuse me. I'm afraid I'd lost track of my thoughts there for a moment...

Laurent?

[He finally gets a look at Lux's face and is surprised a moment before she's given a nod in greeting.]
Lux, it's you. I wasn't aware you came out shopping like this...
no subject
I like to do things for myself every once in a while, too.
[Although, in this case, she was skirting responsibilities in disguise of doing research. That just happened to take place in the snack aisle.]

So he'll be wobbling across the lawn, books stacked in his arms, with his Ralts buddy trotting along beside him, carrying a small book on non-meat-based recipes. Because of course these nerds are vegetarian. Meredith will notice gooey blobby Solosis, though, and deviate from it's route, scurrying over to say hello.]
no subject
[Solosis, however, is quite happy to play! Anything he says to Meredith is still baby Pokemon babble, but he'll do his best to say hello and give the other psychic type a nuzzle.]
no subject
Meredith, on the other hand, gives a soft, happy sound, patting Solosis on the head and, rather than any chatter -- Meredith is a Ralts of few words -- poking a little curl of happiness and cordial greeting towards him.]
no subject
Watch yourself more carefully!
[Uncaring of his friend's outburst, Solosis is content to snuggle up with Meredith.]
no subject
I-I'm sorry, I didn't see you there!
[Bah, humans. Solosis gets both Meredith's little blobby arms stretched as far around him as the Ralts can reach. Huggie hugs~]

B;
He also enjoyed the cute stories about rescue Pokemon the shop had to offer and from time to time (more so than often) he'd fish around for anything new. Hand going to the book on the top before it intercepted Laurent's.] Oh.
[Nervous as he looks up to face the other.] S-sorry..

[Laurent pulls his hand back from on top of the book looking up.... and up at the much taller boy.]
You're free to look at it if you like, I've already read it. I follow the serialization through their magazine, I only thought it would be something to collect.
no subject
......You too? [For once he can relate, why did he even mention it? Normally, he wouldn't have spoken up, something feels strange about this sudden need to continue speaking to something that wasn't a Pokemon--] The Pokemon in there articles are generally happy with living among there new human companions.. amazing what sort of abuse they could be put under and still forgive..
no subject
[As seen from the special pokemon beds, food, clothes, etc. It's a life of luxury.]
However... there's been very few cases of cruelty to our companions in the last hundred or so year, I'm not quite sure what you mean.

[ Seriously, how does one take out so many books. Jean just happened to be walking by (to pick up a book himself, maybe, don't judge.) ]
no subject
I assure you, five books is a minimum. It isn't as if I'm studying for an exam.

[ Jesus, Jean never studied this hard... ]
