[The transmission begins with the closeup of a green eye. It's quickly pulled back though and you are greeted to a bright smiling face.]

So cool! So this is the warp band thingy I've heard so much about. Check this out guys! We're talking to other people and pokemon all over Union.

[The Warp Band is pointed at two Pokemon, a Cubone and a Sentret, who are both peering at it with equal amounts of curiosity. There's a laugh and the boy turns it back to face him.]

I have to say, this is really amazing stuff. We have cool stuff in Caldera, obviously, but nothing like this! I knew it was going to be a good idea to come down this way and check it all out for myself. Wait until I tell my bro!

Oh, I guess you're right. I should probably introduce myself first, huh? [The boy looks sheepish but then gets past it pretty quickly and throws his arms wide.] Hello~ Union! I am Bolin of Caldera and I come bearing friendship and fun!

[He's excited and enthusiastic, can you tell?]

And speaking of fun. What's the coolest places to check out around here? I mean...I'm new obviously so what should I make sure to see first? Oh! Or who wants to come show me around? That could be fun too. I'm up for anything and so are Kun and Pabu, right guys?

Yup. That's me. Bolin from Caldera.

What's your name?

Eren Jaeger. I'm a Ranger here in Union. I also serve under the City Guard sometimes. It's really cool, finding all these new cities! Forever, we thought we were the only humans left.

And what do Rangers do, exactly? Were you some of the guys helping us with our Gigas problem?

[Bolin nods.] It is pretty cool. I told my brother we should check these places out. See the sights. But he says it's better to stay home and keep working.

Yeah, most of the people helping you guys out were Rangers. Some Guardsmen and-- [ugh] -- Swords of the Savior, too. Our normal job is to explore outside of Union. Scout for more resources and new Pokémon and discover things... like other human settlements!

Why can't he come here and work? We have plenty of jobs.

Mm. Who knows. That's just what he told me. I think he's a little skeptical about moving off.

Buuut it's good to know there are jobs. I think I'll be needing one while I'm staying here.

Whatever. It's his prerogative, I guess.

So what kind of things are you good at?

I've done street performances before. I'm really good at training pokemon if I do say so myself. I'm also a Ground/Rock Earth kin so I am consinder myself good at heavy lifting too. My real passion is Earthkin Clash, it's a sport back home where we battle each other using our talents to knock each other out of a ring.

Well, there's a theatre in town if you want to really put your acting skills to the test. ... And man, that game sounds pretty fun. We don't have anything like that in Union. If you're going to stay, you should start up a league. I'd join!

Awesome! I'll go check it out. And yeah, I know! I've noticed that some other people are pretty interested in it too so I'll see what I can get put together.

So, what are the rules like? Can any type of Enlightened play? Like me, I'm steel and flying.

There's a lot of type specific rules, so maybe I should try to bring a rule book back next time. The main one is to knock your opposing team out of the ring. You can also only have three players on the field at a time and no more than six on your team. Attacks vary depending on what kind of Earthkin you are...like Ground or Rock types can't just open up the arena and drop the opposing team underground, they're only allowed to throw rocks or boulders to try and knock the opponent back.

Flying types...if I remember right they're only allowed to use short bursts of wind and can't just pick up their opponents and drop them over the side. You are allowed to Fly, but you can't stay in the air for long.

Alright, that makes sense! It is a game, after all, and not a battle. Gotta give the other team a chance.
