[the Warp Band flickers on and there is an extremely close up view of a Pokemon's distinct eggshell pattern. ~~Who's that Pokemon??~~ There's a happy trilll and if you're lucky, you get a glimpse of a stubby little arm and a delighted Togepi face. This doesn't last very long, as the Warp Band immediately gets pushed off the table and...hits a curious Roselia on the head. Ow.

Still, Roselia picks up the Warp Band and holds it out to her Trainer, who's mildly busy keeping an adventurous Togepi from walking right over the edge after the sparkly Warp Band.]

Thank you, Lulu. [Michiru smiles at the running feed, one hand full of happy egg baby and the other reaching out to take the Band.] Do they all have this particular disregard for heights or did I just get lucky?

[mildly dry tone of voice aside, Michiru is utterly delighted by the ~~latest successful baby snatching~~ newest addition to her roster - even if she's particularly good at hiding it.

As for action options, she can be found at the park under the shade of a leafy tree. Milotic is slowly dozing off, sleeping in an oddly formal circle. Michiru is propped up against the curve of the Water Pokemon, as Togepi slowly toddles after Roselia, who's scattering all these shiny and interesting and moving petals!

...From the looks of it, Michiru is using Milotic as a natural baby cage to keep Togepi from wandering off too far.]

[ -- eating! That was it. He's very good at eating right now, and if he eats enough, maybe something good will happen! Swadloon looks thrilled by this right until he realizes Lulu seems to have had a similar idea. That flags his enthusiasm briefly, but it bounces right back. If they both thought it, it must be true! ] Swadloon!

[ Now, do you want to share these leaves with him, or since you are a plant, is that a bad idea? ]

Whoops. [ Sudden baby. Haruka gives Michiru a look as if to wonder whether she really thinks this is a good idea, but...okay. She can entertain the kid. Unsure of how, however, she waggles an index finger in front of Togepi's face for her eyes to track. ] She's a little adventurer, huh?

[ This is some sort of test, isn't it. To see if she's worthy of looking after baby. ]

Roseeelia! [yaay, teamwork! And well, eating leaves would be kinda weird for her, but there's lots of sun here and she'll happily hang out here with you!

Baby giggles and immediately tries to grab onto Haruka's finger.] She's certainly not lacking in curiosity.

[a test? Is it, really?]

[ Why else would you put the baby in her lap....Well, there's your own amusement, but this is Michiru, the most amazing woman in the world. She always has an ulterior motive, correct?

And whoops, that finger is too fast for baby. How are your reflexes, kid? Can you catch it now? How about now? What if she slows down....and speeds up again? ] Good thing that's only dangerous for Skitty.

[ So the saying goes, anyway. And that makes sense, Lulu! Swadloon had forgotten about eating from the sun. Does it taste like anything? Since evolving, he has been all about food. (Fancy that.) ] Loon.

[then you'd better perform admirably, just in case.

Baby tries to follow your movements, turning and taking a couple of steps one way, and then turning again and toddling over in other other direction.] Toge...

[she might be getting a little dizzy from all this spinning, though]

I can only hope. [this little eggbaby requires constant vigilance, honestly.]

Rooo se! [not really, but it's nice and warm! She could almost bask here forever!]

[ Now the finger is going up and down, Togepi. And if you don't catch it in the next few seconds, it's going to lightly, playfully flick you on the nose. Or where your nose would be if you had one, anyway. ] She's in good hands.

Swadlooon. Swad. [ That it is. Oh, he is part blanket now. Did you want him to lift a blanket flap so you could share it? ]

[and despite Togepi's best efforts, all she gets is a flick on the nose. Baby blinks, and then giggles and toddles forward again. She's intent on catching that finger or ooh, a leaf! Will this one taste any better?

Heh. Thanks. With a smile, Michiru's leaning against your shoulder again, amusedly reaching over to tug that leaf out of baby's mouth.]

Rose? [ehh? Will she fit? They're about the same size...]

[ Haruka leans too, dropping her own hand and enjoying this domestic moment. Far as she's concerned, the game is over - but that also means those fingers are right there for the taking, Togepi. (You have good taste. Your mother is also quite fond of those hands.)

Swadloon, meanwhile, is looking at himself, then back at Roselia, then back at himself. You raise a good point....but if they do not try, they shall never discover whether this is feasible. And if he's going to be a Swadloon for a while (for...ever...? Say it isn't so!), he does need to experiment. ] Swad swad!

[ Come on over! He'll see what he can do. ]

[and Togepi haphazardly walks right over to hug that hand. Yay, she won!] Toge!

[baby turns to glance at mommy] Prii! [look, she won! On her part, Michiru just laughs quietly.

Lulu considers it for the moment and hey, why not! It's for the sake of adventure! Sort of. Maybe your special skill is making blanket forts??]

[ ---you just don't know when to quit, do you. Haruka tickles the baby lightly, but lets Togepi keep that hold on her hand. You sniped her; you earned it. ] Clever girl.

[ Energetic girl, too. Aren't babies supposed to sleep a lot? Look, Lulu and the bug are bedding down or....something. Did Michiru adopt the one baby who doesn't sleep? ]

Loon. [ Natto lifts a leaf. Even partial coverage is cozier than nothing! Blankets are indeed made to be shared. He just...is a blanket right now. ]

[Togepi giggles, but will continue hugging that hand. And she does take naps! But everything has been so exciting and new that it's sort of run over into her naptime. Oops.]

Determined too. [as long as she doesn't get distracted. That being said, Michiru reaches over, using a hand to rub the baby's back and starts humming something that sounds suspiciously like a lullaby.]

Rose! [and she'll shuffle in, giggling a bit. Hey, this is pretty cozy.]

Swad. [ It is, isn't it. It makes him feel oddly secure, even if it also impedes things like his art. Perhaps he could learn to paint, like your Trainer...? No, he is too attached to fashion and foliage to change media. Decoration is his passion.

Haruka leans back so that Mommy has plenty of room to work with the baby. Look at how into this her partner is. Who knows what effect this is having on the child, Michiru, but your girlfriend certainly seems soothed. She's taking in every little detail of this scene and it's melting her all over the place.

But coolly. Haruka is always cool. Yes. ]

[oh! Kind of like when she was a Budew? All round and wrapped up in green!

Togepi gives a tiny yawn, but is still holding stubbornly onto Haruka's hand. A few more moments, and then Michiru is gently detaching the eggbaby and cradling her to herself. There's a bit of fuss over the loss of her hard won prize, but then she's attaching herself to mommy's shirt and yawning again. ~~Michiru learned Sing!~~]

....Loon! [ Come to think of it, that's a great description. You had nothing but nubs to work with, then. Perhaps he can think about how you managed, and take inspiration from that.

Haruka watches Michiru lull Togepi to sleep, and keeps her voice down so as not to disturb the drowsy baby. Naps are important for children. ] You should try the violin sometime.

Selia! [she managed because had friends to help her, and you do too! ~~Lulu really is turning into a shojou protag.~~

Another tiny yawn, and then Togepi is withdrawing back into her shell (so to speak) for a nap. At least eggbabies are relatively easy to take care of.

Michiru smiles, keeping her voice low as well.] For her or for you?

[ Natto must be a fan of shoujo manga, as he finds this statement deep, meaningful, and touching. It's nice and fair that Lulu will get a chance to help him, too! ] Loon!

[ Haruka just grins and kisses Michiru on the cheek. She should probably be more upset about this, given that they don't have time to raise a child, but isn't that what ~~Hotaru~~ looking after Pokémon is about anyway? Michiru will manage. Haruka has faith in her partner.

She whispers. ] Let's take her home.
