Alright, so.
[The woman on the video is wearing a great deal of tacky jewelry, a bandana on her head, and a neckline that would be considered deeply inappropriate in most of Union. Also no pants to speak of but that at least is not in the video at the moment as she leans back in a chair at some anonymous bar attached to the Lucky Punch.]
What do all you Union locals do when you're not off fighting in someone else's war somewhere? I've found the casino thing through sheer instinct for vice but I can only get so much schadenfreude out of watching people lose all their money to games with bad odds, and the drinks you brew here are nothing to write home about.
[She gives the Warp Band a look like she might deign to give some context to her statements.]
Right, I should probably introduce myself. Name's Isabela. Random chance brought me here a week ago and I figured now was as good a time as any to try out this Warp Band thingie. As they say back home, for a good time, call on me.
[She turns the thing off after a little fiddling and goes back to drinking and looking for fights to pick. Maybe she'll get some curious people to talk to out of this, anyway.]

[Stop, Isabela. There's low-hanging fruit, and then there's just taking advantage. The girl's looks are intriguing, though.]
I haven't seen many quality tattoos in this city, and those are some nice ones. Are you from out of town as well?

[Blink blink.]
Oh, no, I'm not a Shifter. I'm very much human.

[This is the time Isabela wishes she had a straightman handy, so she could ask if she could take this one home.]
But anyway, what's a nice girl like you doing in a city like this?

[Merrill's always found it a little lonely too.]

[Excuse the bad poetry, she just misses sailing a lot.]
Plus you can see farther, that's always useful.

[And like clockwork Merrill fixates on the other part.]
Oh, yes, I can see how that would be better. Will you take me sailing someday, Isabela?
Video
[She smiles.]
Of course I will, just as soon as I have a ship again.
Video
What happened to your ship?

Actually, I made up something like that when some guy asked me about it, but I don't think he got the mythological reference or the fact that I was winding him up.

Tell you what, getting a boat back is probably a long-term project. In the meantime, want to meet up for drinks sometime?
