004 [Video/Action]
[Pamela looks quite different on this warp band broadcast. Her eyes are much lighter, she's lost the glasses, and her skin's quite pale - it's almost white with a slight greenish hue. Her hair even grew a few inches. In fact, someone who didn't know her well probably wouldn't recognize her until she starts speaking.]
'Tis the season to evolve, it seems. I'm going to need a mostly new wardrobe - at least for the things I can't just have altered. I'd welcome some company.
[Her Roselia nudges her shoulder insistently and pipes up. Those who understand Pokemon will hear him saying "The party, Pamela! You promised!" Pamela sighs a bit but smiles shortly afterward.]
Yes, Basil, I won't forget. My family is insisting that I have a big party for my birthday this year. It's a month from now and I'm extending a formal invitation to everyone. Please RSVP with at least five days' notice if you'll be coming for dinner. Otherwise, there will be a buffet.
[Basil nods approvingly and Pamela disconnects the video feed.]
[Action - Out in a clearing in the Verdant Forest near Union's walls]
[She'd thought about asking, but in the end decided to see what she could do on her own with the Leaf element enhanced sword she'd been given for her part in aiding Caldera.
It's quite apparent that she's a beginner. She's got a basic grasp of "aim the pointy end at the opponent" and her footwork isn't awful solely because she knows how to dance. There's some grace to her movements. Just not much skill. Anyone who knows what they're doing could disarm her very quickly.
Her Gloom, a baby Oddish, her Roselia, a baby Scyther and her Venusaur are sitting back and watching her with some mild amusement. Sage the Venusaur lets out a little warning growl when he hears someone approaching. Pamela stops what she's doing and glances in the direction Sage is indicating.]
Oh, hello.
(ooc note: With Pamela's 1st evolution comes pheromone powers. They aren't very powerful yet and have a short range of approximately 3 feet or so. She's currently unaware that she has them. If you want to embarrass your character a little, please feel free to have an awkward moment. Otherwise, please feel free to comment on that perfume that suits her so well)

Video
[She's well aware that's not what he's referring to, but he'll have to ask more directly if he wants a real answer.]
I'm sure it will. I'm lucky that they'll be handling it...although I hope they won't get so caught up in planning that they'll forget to ask me for my opinion on things.
[You know, like they forgot she wanted only a small party and decided for her that she was going to have a big one. Basil nods enthusiastically and says "I'm hoping to meet a pretty girl Roselia, too."]
Video
[ Hans is kind of hoping his own evolution won't turn out the same... he'll be disappointed, though. ]
Must be nice having them worry about you. Whatever they do will be simply out of love for you, no doubt.
[ Unlike his parents, don't even ask about his horrible parents. He'd whisper something to Basil, but that would break his precious cover. ]
Video
[Now she's just being a bit of a brat and seeing if he'll actually come out and ask. But it's all in good fun, honest.]
Well, that and perhaps a bit of guilt at losing track of how old I am.
[Which she will be milking for all its worth when she hands over the bill for her new wardrobe.]
Video
[ Hans chuckles. If they're being funny, he can keep going. ]
At least they feel guilty about that! [ Haha, that's funny. ] Mine lost count and just send me a card on what they hope is the right date.
[ Hey, Hans is actually talking about himself for once! ]
Video
[It's not a lie. Her control over plants and their growth has increased dramatically. It used to take her an hour to make flowers go from seed to full bloom. Now she can do it in a minute. There's definitely an appreciation for green here.
She raises an eyebrow at Hans' remark about his family. She's not sure if he's joking or not, so she'll play along a bit.]
How thoughtful of them.
Video
[ They're just messing around at this point, huh. Of course he was kidding about his family! Haha, no one's family would be that cruel! ]
They're thoughtful like that. With thirteen of us, it's easy to forget once or twice.
Video
[If he doesn't guess within a few guesses, she supposes she can demonstrate with a seed, but for now she's having fun.
She blinks at the mention of thirteen.]
Thirteen. My goodness, your household must have been busy growing up. I never had brothers or sisters. Just cousins.
Video
[ Really, he's just tossing out guesses. ]
Oh, it was very busy. My brothers certainly made sure of that. All twelve of them.
Video
[Now it's more like green everywhere - literally. There is a faint green undertone to her pale complexion. She walks over to where she's got some soil in a pot and holds up a seed.]
Observe.
[Within a few seconds, a little sprout pushes itself out of the soil, and in just under a minute, the blossom blooms brilliantly.]
If all of your brothers are as polite as you are, my compliments to your mother.
Video
They have their differences, as you'd expect. Most of them are so much older than me, it's like I barely know some of them.
[ But far be it for him to drive the conversation towards himself... ]
Fighting for attention became a daily ritual around our house. Not having any siblings would be better, if you ask me. But then, the grass is always greener, isn't it?
Video - bring on the botany puns.
[She already knows it will take a few researchers - perhaps an Engineer or two, because the groundwater supply needs to be addressed, too.]
There's a certain amount of peace and quiet that comes from having no siblings...but it's also a bit lonely. Whereas in your household it seems like privacy would have been a scarce commodity.
[She offers a slight smile.]
We could both be green with envy toward people with just one or two siblings, I suppose, but it's not a very productive use of time.
Video - I need to make like a tree and get out
[ Think of all the people that would be indebted to you, Pamela... a perfect spot to hold a whole city ransom...
He chuckles. Because of the family thing, of course. ]
No use dwelling on it, of course. Fruitless things like that won't get us anywhere. And it certainly won't help Union or Caldera the way your new skills can.
[ Bringing it around with a subtle pun, is this gonna turn into a challenge? ]
Video - No don't leave just yet
[A perfect opportunity to make a name for herself anyway, while sincerely making an effort to help. It's a win-win situation.]
It's far better to branch out. Who knows what sort of opportunities the future will bring?
[Oh the pun challenge is on, Hans.]
Video - don't you mean don't leaf
[ Do it for the glory, Pamela. Make Hans proud. ]
These sorts of talents could even be the seed to something bigger. Who knows what kind of abilities could bloom if you keep nurturing them?
Video - I beleaf that you are correct
[She might not want to kill them, but making them suffer breathing impairment, congestion and even disorientation is perfectly fair game.]
They could grow into something amazing. Maybe I could be enough of a force to be reckoned with that I'd inspire the Gigas troops to turn over a new leaf.
Video - leaves this here
[ aka: don't be shy now, Pamela. We can use those powers
for evilfor Union. ]We've both seen how completely loyal they are to their imperialism. We'd have to uproot their entire way of thinking to get them on our side.
Video - That's going to become cucumbersome
[Great idea, Hans. She can
avenge crimes against natureprotect Union with such abilities.]Their strength and determination are nothing to bark at. But surely we could extend the olive branch.
Video - we deserve to be punished for these puns
[ Gigas is all about crimes against nature, boy it's a good thing Union falls more on the hippy side of things, huh? ]
Yes, but would they accept? Or would they send us back, like a leaf on the wind?
[ He laughs. ]
These are getting harder to come up with.
Video - Truly they are cruel and unusual pun-ishment for everyone reading this thread
[Pamela Isley: the one person who could tell Gigas forces "Get off my lawn" and actually make it legitimately threatening. Their technology is interesting, although she does have to wonder how much damage it does to the environment. But that's just one more reason to dislike them on top of the already long list.
She chuckles.]
Well, you're a peach for keeping them up for this long.
Video - horrible. just horrible.
[ Somehow, I doubt Gigas is too set on being eco-friendly. ]
I do my best. Some of these are beyond be-leaf.
[ Okay, he can't help himself. ]
That was bad.
Video - And by horrible you mean glorious
[Then Gigas can PREPARE FOR TROUBLE.]
Yes it was. Seems like we're two peas in a pod when it comes to making plant puns.
[The pun battle rages on.]
Video - shit I... meant to choose an icon but now we have my glorious default
[ CRUSH THEM WITH PLANTS...!! ]
It's certainly good practice. Now that you've evolved, I imagine they opportunities to use them will be popping up like daisies.
Video - As long as it's glorious. ;)
[Just wait until her 2nd evolution when she can grow a tree in seconds. Then the crushings will truly begin.]
I could be a budding comedian in addition to my research career.
