[Action - Business District, Afternoon]

[Jinxie's been a busy trainer lately, between taking care of a baby Duskull, training her Pokemon, and taking care of a house guest for the past few weeks. And today is no exception. But there seems to be an extra spring in her step today as she makes her way to Pokéco in the Business District. It probably has something to do with the Ninetales gracefully padding along beside her, considering the way she keeps smiling over at it as she walks along.]

Your fur is so beautiful, Foxfire! Don't worry, I'll take good care of it!

[Feel free to run into Jinxie and Foxfire the Ninetales as they're walking through the streets of Union, while they're at Pokéco shopping for fancy shampoos and Pokémon beauty care products, or on their way back home hauling it all home.]

[Action - Forest Shrine, Early Evening]

[Later on, trainer and Pokémon can both be found relaxing at the Forest Shrine. Foxfire is lying down in the clearing, resting peacefully with all nine tails curled around its body as Jinxie sits nearby gently brushing her fur. The air smells faintly of lavender - probably the scent of the shampoo Jinxie bought earlier.]

We'll start training again tomorrow.

[Jinxie whispers as she continues the brush strokes, Foxfire's ear twitching briefly as she listens to her trainer's voice.]

I'm so proud of you.

Hell no. It's totally worth it. Gets it so soft... [At his own Pokémon-] Aw, c'mon, don't look at me like that! I'm gettin' you something too!

[Although for Jinxie and her Ninetales, 'once in a while' will probably mean 'every day.']

Yeah, absolutely. They deserve it. 'Specially on a day like today.

My family has a legend about Ninetales that we've passed down for a long time. So it's exciting because of that too.

[Jinxie smiles as she continues brushing Foxfire.]

A legend? Really? What 'bout them? ...Uh, if ya don't mind me askin'.

During the time of the Savior, when the Pokemon rose up against their masters, a lone Ninetales defended my family from a terrible dark bird Pokemon that attacked them. Ever since then, even after the Savior saved us all, my family honors Ninetales in songs and art.

[He blinks, smiles-] Wow. That's... pretty damn cool, actually.

Uh huh. I always thought so too.

Do you get involved in any'f that stuff? Or d'you just train her?

I'm not very good at making art or singing or anything like that... I only make charms to sell at the shrine.

Like lucky charms? That's cool too...

I can make more powerful ones too ever since I evolved.

[If Kanji looks closely, he'll notice that Jinxie has red irises and a faintly glowing brand on her forehead.]

[Okay, noticing that now-]

Huh. That's a hell of a trick. I ain't heard of anyone doin' something like that before! So ya just - put a bit of power in there at the same time you're makin' em?

[Engineer instincts kicking in a bit, here.]

Uh huh. It takes a lot of concentration and spiritual power, so I can only do it once every couple of days.

[Pretty much exactly like the Engineer thing works!]

[He nods in understanding, with a slight smile -]

Yeah, I get it. That much focus on somethin' ain't easy. But it's worth it.

It was hard training to get that far, but it was definitely worth it to be able to help my friends.

[His smile widens slightly.]

Yeah. Absolutely gotta be.

...Oh. We never introduced ourselves, did we? You already know Foxfire, but I'm Jinxie.
