Who: Everyone!
What: Brave New World had it's beach episode. It's time for the first hot springs episode in this game to celebrate it's discovery!
Where: Scorched Forest - Hot Springs
When: Week 18 Weekend | Early Afternoon to the Evening
Warnings: Potential nudity and fights if someone get caught peeping. Let's try to keep it PG-13 in here.

[With the recent discovery of the hot springs, a group of citizens in Union decided to come together to set up an open event for everyone in the city who wishes to not only to check out and explore the springs, but to relax from the everyday life in Union. It is open to the general public so everyone is welcome!

The party area is obviously set up with decorations and other party requirements plus mostly cleared of any wild Pokémon. However, wild Pokémon are still wandering around so expect a Slakoth to swim with you or an Aipom steal food while you are not paying attention. There are cloth walls set up for more private areas and tents are available for changing into bathing suits, towels, or just go naked. It's recommended that you do wear something, but nobody is going to stop you if you go commando.

It's certainly warm to hot in this area for obvious reasons, but it shouldn't be too uncomfortable unless you have a Fire weakness. No matter where you are, the springs are giving off a relaxing air. So please, enjoy yourselves.]

C-cub!!

[ This is unbearlievable. Approaching from behind, refreshments in tow, Cubchoo nearly drops a drink in the, well, drink. Oh my! Did she get sent away just so they could - they could -

oh goodness

She actually looks over for Waltz's opinion. How can you just sit there?! There are - there are - THINGS going on!!! ]

[Waltz turns and almost flashes Cubchoo a sympathetic look. Almost. She ditched that subdued demeanor as soon as the bear came crashing back, but at least Cubchoo is getting a level look, rather than a disdainful one. You are definitely new around here.]

It looks like your drink is here. [well, then.]

[ .....well, it beats unknowingly making out in front of the kids. ]

Now that's service. [ She reaches up to accept the cup from Cubchoo, who is left looking at the second cup she brought over. This is for the other human (she got herself a snack, and ate it already), but....but...

A lady holds no grudges. Cubchoo averts her face but offers Michiru the drink. ] Choo.

[well, well. Michiru smiles pleasantly and takes the drink.] Thank you, Sky.

[Waltz is boring holes into Cubchoo with her eyes. If that was an insult...

No. She's got wonderful self control and she is not even going to look at the bear.]

You forgot someone. [ Haruka watches Cubchoo patiently. How the bear responds to this will determine the way training needs to go.

Cubchoo looks down at her feet. Truth be told.....truth be told, she didn't. She's also got...

She pulls a small, paper-wrapped parcel out of one of the folds in her scarf, where she'd tucked it for safe-keeping. Truth be told, she brought a snack for Waltz, too. But dare she....? Should she....?

She turns it around in her hands, then practically tiptoes up to Waltz as if afraid of getting too close. A sniffle to make sure she's not dripping, and then she offers the Kirlia the treat. ] ....Cubchoo.

[ She's doing this for her Trainer, all right? For her Trainer. ]

[Waltz turns, stares at the treat, then at Cubchoo, and then finally at her Trainer. Who, apparently, is absolutely no help at all as she sips at her drink. Waltz doesn't doubt Michiru is paying attention, though.

So.

She looks Cubchoo in the eye and. And geez, this is hard.]

...Kirl. [...want half? And she's looking away again.]

[ This is hard. Cubchoo already had a snack. But it's so proper of Waltz to ask, and she thinks it might be a ladylike attempt at something resembling reconciliation, so she breaks the snack in half as daintily as possible - making sure not to touch the food, but the wrapper, the whole time - and offers Waltz the bigger piece. ] Choo.

[ Haruka takes a drink herself, grinning. See what happens when ~~Michiru is supervising~~ the kids try to grow up? ]

[Waltz nods curtly (in thanks) and takes the piece. She's turning away again to delicately nibble at it.

Michiru lets herself smile. Acknowledging the act will only embarrass Waltz, so she'll leave it for later. Good plan though, Haruka.]

[ She's not dumb, just tunnel-visioned. And Haruka'd like to think she's a decent judge of character, especially when it comes to her bonded Pokémon.

Cubchoo isn't trying to take a peek at how Waltz eats. No, she's just making sure Waltz is eating before doing the same. And she will not let a single crumb drop to her scarf!

Haruka sips her drink in silence. Better not address the kids right now.

She's looking stupidly smug, however. ]

[please. Anybody who calls you dumb in front of Michiru is getting a Gyarados to the face. Or at least a verbal equivalent of one. If you're not there.

...yeah. Waltz probably picked up the small, delicate bites thing from Michiru. This...isn't too bad. And since Cubchoo isn't a Poison type, it's probably not poisoned. A bonus.

A quiet murmur to Haruka.] Thanks.

They'll learn. [ You're welcome, though. Being over petty quarrels themselves (right, right?), they have to both offer guidance and set a good example.

.....Elegant ladies also don't let themselves get raisiny, though, so when they're done their drinks they should probably think about toweling off. (Unless their bodies just naturally don't do that. Which is completely possible.) Haruka's in no hurry, however. Let the children have their moment. She has a refreshment in one hand and Michiru in the other. Life is good. ]

[that might be setting the bar a little too high. Aiming for a Haruka/Michiru relationship level is kind of daunting, even without the actual relationship.

Done with her snack, Waltz daintily makes sure there are no crumbs on her person (or Pokemon). Now should she continue to ignore Cubchoo or what?

And she doesn't know about you, but Michiru's a Water type. Also fabulous and elegant. Getting pruney is the least of her concerns, though taking a break from the heat might be a good idea.]

[ Cubchoo is not exactly going to make overtures to Waltz, either. But she doesn't seem to be actively avoiding the other Pokémon any more, and will even sit a bit closer with a spot open on her rock. If you wanted to sit with her. Which you don't have to. I-it's all the same to her.

That heat is definitely making Haruka drowsy. She's too cool and competent to actually yawn in public, but she settles down into the spring once her drink is finished and rests her head on Michiru's, too. This is a nice soak.

Her skin is flushed in a slightly different way than contact with her partner usually produces. A little bit longer, she tells herself. She's tough. She can withstand it a little bit longer. ]

[nope, sorry, Cubchoo. It'll take a bit for Waltz to warm up to you, even if she's not actively disliking you at the moment. Ugh, can she ignore you? What would her Trainer do?]

...Kirl. [isn't it hot here for you?

At least it's more perfunctory than snide. Waltz still isn't looking at Cubchoo, however.

And Michiru is still quietly observing those two. Waltz is a good kid. Just prickly.

...Don't faint, Haruka. Michiru will never let you forget about it if you do.]

Cub. [ Sitting up beary straight with her paws clasped and her feet turned inward. Her Trainer is here. She doesn't want to wander off and cause trouble for her Trainer.

Not that she herself is trouble, certainly not. But her Trainer should feel free to relax!

To Cubchoo's credit, Haruka is doing exactly that. Or well, she had been before she started contemplating the fact she can feel her own temperature beginning to rise. She hasn't been in here that long, has she?

But Michiru looks so comfortable, and is so comfortable to lean on. Haruka shifts, wetting her lips, and looks up at the sky. Why isn't there a breeze? It'd feel so refreshing...Especially since the very first drop of sweat has just trickled down her forehead.

Haruka may be a Ground-type in a hot spring, but she's still Haruka Tenoh. C'mon. ]

[and Waltz has run out of neutral things to say. Like heck she's going to compliment Cubchoo on venturing into a such a hot place.

Michiru feels that shifting and. Well. Time to take things into her own hands. A slight nudge against Haruka's side, and then she's moving up to sit on the edge instead, leaving her legs to trail in the water.

A sidelong glance. Coming?]

[ .....Oh, you. Laughing would give away that Haruka's onto that you're onto her, but, sure, Michiru. If you insist. ] Changing scenes?

[ The water cascades up around her as she pushes herself onto the rim, sighing with just as much satisfaction as when she'd gotten in; Cubchoo, seeing her Trainer climbing out (even partially) rushes to get a clean towel and start dabbing off Haruka's back. Her Trainer is an independent woman and would never ask for this kind of attention, but she also has to show that she is a dutiful and responsible Pokémon!

And she will leave Michiru untouched, as well. She is a dutiful, responsible Pokémon who knows the importance of Territory. Isn't. She. Thoughtful?

Haruka tips her head back to look at Cubchoo. ] You're going for extra credit.

Choo! [ No, this is what every Pokémon should do for their Trainers! Out of respect! ]

[aaaand Waltz takes back any nice and/or neutral thoughts about Cubchoo. You little...snotty...runt! Thinking you can show her up and.

Michiru reaches for her towel herself, giving Waltz a very small shake of her head and a smile.]

Solicitous. You're getting spoiled, Haruka.

You'll have to keep me in shape. [ Haruka tips her head back, rotating her shoulders, and waves a hand at Cubchoo. You don't have to go to the trouble for her. ] Thanks for that.

Cubchoo. [ Anything for her Trainer. She'll be right here if Haruka needs to cool down, too! She is a practical Pokémon as well as an aesthetic o--

Cubchoo hastily swallows a sneeze. That was almost really bad. She tries to summon some ice in her paw, hoping to be helpful again, but it starts dripping. She looks sad. ] ...Choo.

I'll take that as an invitation to work you hard.

[tugging her towel around her shoulders, Michiru reaches a hand out to Waltz and. Oh. Pets.

And suddenly, the Kirlia is glowering a lot less.]

[ Haruka smiles over her shoulder at the Pokémon. You guys will work it out. She has faith in both of you.

And in Michiru. ] I haven't flinched yet.

[ ...It's happening again, isn't it. That thing Cubchoo doesn't get. She looks over, still dripping. This time, for sure, she will decipher this mysterious human relationship. ]

[no way. Waltz is going to loathe Cubchoo foreverrrr and. Wait, she lost her train of thought. Pets are nice though.]

I'll admit that it's safe to say you have an excellent track record. [mm. Indeed.]

[ ....The Kirlia gets affection from her Trainer without having to do anything for her? That's not quite fair. Cubchoo tries so hard, too.

But it's hard to dislike someone who looks that happy. You and your Trainer do look nice together, Cubchoo supposes. Very composed and graceful. She shall accept this and focus on figuring out the humans instead. They're....close. Very close. But what do all these words they share mean? ]

Do your worst.

[ Oohhhhh that smile leaves nothing to the imagination this is the rest of the ice in Cubchoo's paw melting all at once. She should trust her instincts instead of being so nosy! You two really hadn't been so close on the way down the mountain just for warmth! ]

[this Kirlia has had to sit through all this flirting for forever. She deserves praise and attention for having mastered the ability to completely ignore and block out all and any flirting!!]

My worst? I was hoping for your best, to be honest.

You might be worth the effort. [ Wow, this towel Haruka'd soaked in is absolutely sopping. Cubchoo, could you....?

.....never mind, she'll get it herself. And fetch one for Michiru, while she's at it. Don't mind that she's draping it over your head. Your shoulder seemed occupied with holding your arm up to pet Waltz, so this was clearly the most viable alternative. ] For you.
