[ The first sound that comes over the Warp Band is a crackly sigh, letting out an almost tangible sense of exasperation. After a short pause, a low voice comes onto the network, speaking quickly in a monotone, as if he's reading out lines from a script. ]

I was wondering if anyone has bonded with any interesting pokémon lately in the areas recently discovered. Specifically pokémon that have odd evolutionary traits.

I'd be interested in knowing more about these pokémon. So respond if this is applicable to you.

[ Is that all? That should be all. He almost ends the post, then suddenly remembers to add- ] This is Green Oak. [ He barely uses this stupid thing, after all. And there's not a lot of people likely to know him from his voice alone. ]

A Croconaw. I got it when everyone first visited the Tropical Island, she was a Totodile at the time.

[ He doesn't respond for a moment, but after some consideration, he switches to the video feed. ]

[There is likewise a short pause before the video on Red's side cuts in--committing Green's face to memory, but Red appears, glancing off to the side.]

Zarya, come here.

[The blue Pokémon comes into view as Red pans the Warp Band.] Her jaws are incredibly strong, even when she was a Totodile. Here, would you bite this? [At the mention of bite, her eyes light up a little and she opens her jaws to let Green see all 48 teeth, and Red eases a branch into view. Keeping his hand well away from her mouth, he turns the branch so a small nub touches her tongue and the results are near-instant; Zarya's jaws slam shut with an initial crunch on the branch, and after a handful of seconds she crushes the wood into three pieces, spitting the section in her mouth out.]

She has a second evolution she still needs to reach.

How do you know it has another evolution? [ It's the only question Green asks; short, clipped, as he looks up briefly from scribbling in his notebook. ]

Because it attacked me on the island. [He would leave it at that.] Unless it is gender-based. I didn't get a look because living seemed a bit more important, but Zarya is a female.
