Beach triiiip~ (private!)

[Lenna and Rose hatched a brilliant scheme: GO TO THE BEACH.]

[Specifically, down to the tropical island. After terrible revelations about Gigas, after gods and deaths, and after finding out about Rose's double life... honestly, it sounds pretty nice! But, most importantly, they have Vaporeon slippers. Rose steps onto the beach, wearing a stripped red-and-white two-piece swimsuit.]

[A beachball is under one arm. Her feet are clad in her slippers. She is ready.]

Bring it on! It's beach time!

[Lenna's swimsuit is somewhat more modest - a one piece solid orange suit with ruffles around the waist. And even though it's just her and Rose here, she can't help but blush a bit. When it comes down to it, she's fairly old-fashioned with her clothing. But the feel of the sea breeze through her hair, the warmth of the sun on her skin, and the cool watery embrace of her Vaporeon sandals against her toes is enough to set her mind at ease.]

Ahhhh, it's just as beautiful as I remember!

[Rose turns and grins; she's a little oblivious to any blushing. Besides, the Vaporeon sandals mean the sand isn't scorching her feet. It's like they're always in the water. Which is amazing.]

It is, huh? I love it already! Check out the waves, too!

[She nods, proudly, grinning at Lenna.]

Did you go swimming? We should totally go swimming!

[The sandals are pretty great. They even have comfortable straps so they won't fall off while you're in the ocean.]

Of course! It's a wonderful day for swimming. And I'm half Water type, you know.

[She smiles back at Rose, giggling lightly.]

Hey, really? I bet you're a really good swimmer, then!

[She grins, then sets down her towel -- beach ball, too. That's for playing later. For now, they have a giant beach all to themselves.]

Mmhmm. It comes naturally.

[Lenna smiles, wading into the water a bit before waving Rose over to join her.]

My Water typing only really becomes apparent once I'm in the water. Come and see.

You don't need to tell me twice!

[She walks over, arms folded behind the back of her head, as she wades into the water until she's waist deep.]

Ahhhhh, it's cool!

[Lenna follows Rose in, swishing her hands through the water as she goes and eventually holding one of them up for her to look at.]

There, see!

[As she spreads her fingers, it's apparent that there's webbing between them.]

Oh wow! That's super cool, Lenna!

[She moves closer, looking at the webbing, before she nods at Lenna.]

Does it mostly show when you're in the water? I bet it makes swimming a breeze!

Mmm... it's more like it grows out when I'm in the water. Between my toes, too. And that's not all...

[Taking a breath, she quickly dips her head under the water and then back out again. When she comes back up, there are gills on her neck, and she turns her head to the side to give Rose a better look.]

I have these too. All to help me with swimming.

Gills! I bet! I can't do anything like, but... you know! Dark-type. I can do--

[And she shadowsteps. She becomes an inky mist, then she reappears next to Lenna; she slings an arm around her. There's a cocky grin.]

--this, though. Not much help with swimming!

Huh? Rose...?

[Lenna looks around for a moment, and is left staring in absolutely the wrong direction when Rose manifests again. She jumps a little at the touch, letting out a surprised squeak.]

Oh!

Yeah! It can be super handy for all sorts of stuff. Real, job-y stuff.

[...Not her merchant job.]

And awesome surprising friends stuff!

It certainly was surprising! I'll have to get you back!

[Lenna laughs, reaching her hand out to splash Rose.]

Hey! Hey, no fair!

[Rose laughs, getting splashed; she separates, just so she can send a big splash flying in Lenna's direction.]

[Despite her claims of unfairness, she's happy with this outcome.]

Aaaahhh!

[Lenna lets out a yelp, laughing as she splashes back. The war is on!]

I'll get you!

You're gonna have to try harder than that!

[Aaaand there's splashback! More splashing. Rose is happy to send water flying at Lenna. Though she doesn't exactly have a strategy.]

[Or Water-type abilities to make this worse.]

Harder, huh?

[Lenna smiles, unleashing a Bubble attack!

She doesn't want to actually hurt Rose, after all.]

[Rose gets hit by it -- it doesn't hurt, of course -- and then she starts laughing.]

Yeah, I'd say you won that one!

Water type.

[Lenna smiles, unable to help but burst into giggles herself.]

That makes you pretty awesome!

[She smiles, though, looking quite happy about this.]

You'd be awesome either way, though.

Thank you, Rose. I think you're awesome too.

Mm-hmm. I just can't let it go to my head.

Do you want to go lie in the sun for a while now? I brought Cherie along - she can help apply the suntan lotion and maybe even give us some massages!

Oh yeah! And I know Cherie can do a good job. Let's do that.

[She grins, then she starts walking towards the beach. Back out of the water. For now!]

All right! Race you to the towels!

[And Lenna takes off swimming toward the shore, at least until the water gets shallow enough to run.]
