[The video feed crackles to life, showing a young lady wearing a leather jacket and a scarf. Her hair is light colored, though the exact shade is hard to tell, with the black and white feed. She jacks a thumb at herself a couple seconds late when it comes on. Standing next to her is a serious-looking Eevee, which is wearing a pork pie hat.]

Good afternoon and/or evening depending how you figure it, citizens of Union, and welcome to your first weekly Yang Xiao Long Hates Writing Papers And Won't So She's Gonna Mess With This New Technology Instead Show!

[She pauses, then leans forward at the camera conspiratorially.]

Detective Miller over there says the title needs to be shorter, but I think he's wrong on that count.

[The Eevee looks at her crossly, but Yang doesn't pay attention, looking back at the camera. She nods at it.]

The talk lately is about what's coming out of the mausoleum they found in the Old City. Apparently, there are some seriously spooky Pokémon following people out from there, and they're bothering some of the people there. No one's sure what the deal with the place is, but that sounds scary!

Of course, someone will probably steal crap from it because it's shiny or valuable or whatever. I'm not saying you're gonna get a terrible curse from beyond the grave, but I'm saying YOU'RE GONNA GET A TERRIBLE CURSE FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE. [She grins widely at that.] So let's not do that, but let's get awesome spooky Pokémon to hold awesome scary parties with.

Next week, we'll discuss how to cross bridges between towers when it gets icy and not slip and die!

You must really like that kind of thing, huh? And it sounds kind of like converging interests.

[Whoa, Yang thinks, his hair is amazing. Then she realizes that isn't normal or appropriate. But she's staring.]

Converging criminal interests, I think.

[And it's a similar shade, too! Though without color, it just looks light-colored through the feed.

He also subconsciously registers the staring, but doesn't show any physical reaction to it yet.]

Er, no, not what I meant. What I meant was that you have converging interests. You sound like you're into both delving and spooky stuff. Am I wrong?

[Can she ask him how his hair works? No, that's crazy. BUT SHE WANTS TO, because look at it! It combines fluffiness, spikiness, and a ponytail! It's curly and straight at the same time! And it's light like her hair! She can't tell the exact shade.]

[She reaches a finger out, and pokes at the video, because she can't resist.]

Oh, sure. They're both a lot of fun, you know? I like delving. And exploring and stuff. It's exciting! And spooky stuff is pretty fun, too. Who doesn't like getting the crap scared out of them?

I recently learned I'm good at seeing what will and won't hurt, and Ghost attacks don't really work on me or a couple of my girls. Apparently I'm Enlightened and didn't realize it before.

People totally do it. I saw three or four people slipping on the ice. Not everyone's got that awesome sense of balance, I guess!

We delvers should hopefully be able to get in before looters can get there so we can recover the important artifacts. I know a few expeditions are going to be underway pretty soon.

Awright! That's what I wanna hear! I know my folks are chomping at the bit to see whatever you guys bring up.

[She sighs.]

I kinda wanna come with, too, but I gotta do some studying for university, too.
