Who: Kili, his team, and anyone else who wants to stop them!
What: Kili's birthday just happened and he's kind of bummed.
Where: Union. The whole city.
When: October 26th

Well, he did it. He turned eighteen.

He turned eighteen with only his brother around. And no idea of what's coming next. And feeling, frankly, pretty damn useless. Talking to Fili helped, but really, he's been worrying over this for the last year. One talk won't solve it.

Apparently his partners think they can help, however. They've dragged him out of the forge and around the city to do Stuff--eat, watch people fighting, see a play if one's showing, anything they think will make him feel better.

And occasionally they drag him into shops Raz wants to go to so she can harass him into buying her something, but only occasionally.

It's really hard to miss the teenager surrounded by his team with a Weepinbell clinging to him when the Drifblim isn't, and a Carbink bouncing off Kili's head at random intervals.

"It does have a pretty nice shine to it..."

He circles around to the back of Raz, checking it out. He sets his arms akimbo. "So what, you guys just decide to take a day out shopping or something?" He asks earnestly enough.

[youngestone]

"No, uh...they're dragging me out to do stuff for my birthday. Raz is using this as a chance to shop."

[punchesyu]

He does remember a conversation about this not being a great day, or something to that degree. He never found out why exactly, so he wonders on that again.

"Oh yeah, didn't you totally have a complex about this or something?"

He blurts, not quite thinking about how he should of phrased that.

Kili and Belbul both glare at Yosuke. "It's not a complex." What the hell. "It's complicated."

[punchesyu]

"S-Sorry," he quickly apologizes, "I mean like, it's a great idea to go out shopping right now!"

He backpedals, holding up his hands in apology as well. "Why don't we check out the scented pokeshampoo over there!" He points, trying to change the subject or lighten the mood someway.

Raz shakes her head, instead grabbing Yosuke by the hand and dragging him over to the jewelry. Kili snickers. "Uh, I think she's saying you get to buy her something. She does that to me." Raz nods and looks up at Yosuke expectantly. He offended Belbul and Kili. He gets to Ponyta up.

"What do you mean I gotta buy her something???" He's not getting out of her grip though, as he's dragged over to the jewelry. There's some nice bracelets and necklaces, and a very fine ring that stands out. It's all very beautiful.

"I'm not your trainer! Or your boyfriend!" He protests. He doesn't want to be forced to buy anything.

Kili just cackles as Raz glares at Yosuke. She'll get big water guns on her back if she evolves. Does he really wanna be on the wrong side of a Wartortle?

[punchesyu]

"What are you looking at me for? There is no way I'm buying you jewelry. Forget it."

He glares right back at her. His wallet is only so big and he feels no obligation to her. He will defend himself like a man.

Raz frowns and starts tearing up, which just makes Kili laugh louder.

"Dude, give in. She's loud when she starts crying and she won't stop until you give in."

[punchesyu]

"Hell no."

He states again, this time to Kili, but those tears. Those tears.

"Don't even try to guilt me into this! Bro, tell her to cut it out!"

[youngestone]

"Rock-type. She'll kick my ass."

Raz starts sniffling, and a few people look at Yosuke. Some are confused, but at least one little girl is glaring at him for making Raz cry.

[punchesyu]

"I can't believe this!" He can see the glares of people all around him, and he looks back down to Raz. He knows that Kili just straight up told him he really can't do anything for Yosuke at this point, but still!

"You're seriously making me do this??? What kind of monster are you??? Kili, you're letting her do this?"

His face starts to burn red from embarrassment of people noticing.

"Dude usually it's me who gets the Totodile tears! I can't stop her!"

[punchesyu]

He looks around again nervously. Raz is making this so awkward and he just feels bad now. Not because of her, but for himself- people sort of know who he is because of Junes, and this just isn't good PR.

"Okay fine, cut it with the waterworks! I'll never forgive you for this!" He hisses to Raz. Unbelievable!

Raz sniffs and rubs at her eyes, still milking the crying until Yosuke hands her the bag and recipt. She's not stupid.

Kili and the rest of the Pokémon are cracking up.

He sends a nasty glare over to the others, and makes sure to pick the cheapest thing in the display. It's a bracelet, not all that expensive, but it's not entirely cheap either. He'll never do this again. Never speak to Raz again. Never forgive anyone for this.

He walks over to the cashier, thankful that people have started to avert their eyes away. He pays for it, turns his mouth up, and hands her the bag.

"Here's your stupid bracelet. I can't believe I got suckered into buying jewelry...you owe me one!"

Kili, still laughing, digs out his wallet hands over the price of the bracelet plus lunch. "Sorry, man. I think she took you calling my birthday a complex worse than I did."

[punchesyu]

He takes the money, shoving it into a pocket quickly. It's still annoying how she used the crowd against him like that, he swears.

"That was not worth the price of that bracelet. I know shopping is supposed to be some kinda stress reliever or something, but shouldn't you be buying stuff for yourself and not her for that???"

Kili shrugs. "Doesn't bother me. It's fun, sometimes."

[punchesyu]

"But that totally defeats the point of a birthday...you can go buy her stupid polish anytime. You're the one who's supposed to get gifts."

He gestures to the products held in the Wartortle's paws. As if that weren't proof enough. It's not her birthday.

[youngestone]

Another shrug. "Doesn't bug me, like I said. It's fun and she's happy--besides, not like they can get me gifts, yeah?"

[punchesyu]

"Yeah, but that's still not the point! Besides, you don't have to spend money on gifts!" He says, though it sounds more like he's giving an idea than making an argument. He even looks down at the pokemon when he says it, winking and hoping they'd take the hint.

[youngestone]

Raz just points at Kili as if to say "he has the money, what do you want us to do?" (The Wartortle has a very one-track mind sometimes.)

"It's fine, really. Honestly, it's kind of hilarious watching them charge around and scare the locals." Kili grins.

[punchesyu]

Yosuke gives Raz a look that suggests that she was totally missing the point of what he was trying to get across, a half sneer, half eye roll that he tries to hide from Kili.

"Scare them how. That sounds like it's gunna give an old lady a heart attack!"
