Eleventh Sword -- Video -- Action
[Martin is on the Band today, looking a bit tired but happy]
We are still working, but I am very pleased to announce that as of today, the Redwall Sanctuary and Charity, located in the Residential District, can finally start accepting residents, thanks in no small part to the wonderful donations of Lenna Tycoon and the citizens of Union. I've mentioned it a few times before, but for anyone who doesn't know, Redwall has been something I've wanted to start for some time now. Thanks to volunteers and the donations, Union now has a completely non-profit organization that houses new arrivals or others in need of secure living arrangements on a temporary or possible permanent basis, offers them assistance in finding jobs in the city, and otherwise covers what temples, churches, and private citizens alone can't cover. Come spring, I hope to have a community garden started [in the background, Laterose cheers because plants] and begin hosting fundraisers to keep Redwall open.
[He is clearly so proud of this, he can't stop smiling]
It's currently being funded entirely from the donations of Ms. Tycoon and my own...retirement from the Swords-- [His Spritzee chrips and Martin sighs] --and from Noonvale's Perfumery's profits, which is now located on the Redwall grounds in what will be the flower garden. All other donations would be greatly appreciated, and while I can't promise payment any and all volunteers are welcome...as is anyone in need of a hot meal. [Thank you, Matthias]
[There's posters around town announcing the opening of Redwall today, and anyone who stops by to visit will find Martin there, working with the builders and volunteers to finish cleaning up and placing orders for seedlings in the spring. Come stop by!
Info post here]

[Possibly because he wasn't paying attention? Eh. He has had his own priorities to deal with.]
The Ćukasiewicz can probably spare some money to help out with that, or we could help out with fundraisers now and then?
That would be wonderful. Anything that can be spared will be put to good use, I promise.
Fff I accidentally a word up there
[How much they do in practice... probably varies pretty widely, but Feliks is much more interested in ideals than he is in money (or reputation, for that matter). His grandparents, at least, donate a lot to the temples and so on, so they'll probably agree pretty easily.]
eh words are dumb
[And people are sometimes not very giving]

[He was raised mostly-common, so he doesn't always have the rosiest view of the upper classes even though he is upper-class.]
But whatever, right? No point worrying about what "people" do when you have stuff of your own to do!

[Wow Feliks, Martin is impressed]
--oh, yes. Noonvale wants to know if you want more perfume.
no subject
Oh my gods, yes. I've almost used up the stuff from before, I was gonna ask you!

[Which, at ten bucks a bottle, is a pretty good deal]

[Noonvale chirps]
She is so weird...

I've totally heard weirder. Remind me to tell you all about Sweetie Pie sometime when we know each other better.
Anyway, we should totally just be resting up for a while after that whole angry god thing, so she can come by whenever!

1/2
[How best to frame this...?]
2/2 I'm so sorry about him
So we got the message and went up north with some people from Caldera and Citadel, and it was super cold but it was super pretty, too, and there are these giant Pokemon and I'm totally gonna find one and make friends with it but I didn't yet.
But anyway, we get there, and it's looking super gnarly, like with this whole burned city and all? And there are all these humans using Fire-types attacking the people in the city, so we stepped in like "um, what do you think you're doing?"
And we totally had them, but then this Fire/Dragon-type God shows up like bam! And I guess it had like bonded with their leader or whatever? And we had to try and fight it, and that wasn't going so good...
When all of a sudden all these other gods turn up and start helping us! Like this big four-legged Fire-type was all like oh no you don't and pinned it down so we could attack it! And there were some other gods, too, and they hung out with us at the party afterwards, and it was mega cool.
[Also he nearly died of hero-worship overdose from being near so many gods, but whatever, details.]

A god bonded with a human and attacked a city, so the other gods stepped in and helped? What a world we live in...
no subject
[He is so happy for that, because being up against one god is hard enough, even with the other gods' support. The heat was so intense that he almost couldn't take it, and he's a Fire-type.]

[He still has nightmares about that timeshift]
no subject
[Or, you know, terrifying and the worst and something that triggered his half-suppressed grief in a way that took months (and the person he was grieving showing up alive) to really get over, but that's all hard to talk about, so he's going with "lame."]

I hope that never happens again

[The gods are watching. Now's the time to put their best foot forward, right?]
