[Unionomura, Honoka's cart shop of Calderan snacks, has been closed since the event, with a variance of signs hung from it apologizing for the prolonged absence. Some days, there was a basket of sweets with a note of "Take one!", other days there was no sign at all. Really, the Calderan girl had been abnormally scarce.]

[Today, she makes her reappearance, though not at her cart. She's sitting with her elbows on her knees and her chin in her hand when the feed pops on, though at first all anyone will see is a startled Pumpkaboo.]

Ah-- Kabocha no!

[She realizes the feed is on and looks. Well, startled. Caught. Uneasy.]

[Her hands immediately come to cover her cheeks, just under her eyes. It really only makes the slight differences to her more obvious. Her face, just under her eyes and down most of her cheeks, as well as her hands from about halfway between her wrist and elbows to her fingertips are smattered with pale, shimmering orange-and-pink scales. As she leans away from her Warp Band's feed, her fingernails turn slightly more opaquely white and elongate.]

Ahhh. Oh. Oh no. Well. I guess maybe I should probably say something since I guess some of you might be worried. Shoot.

[Lenna hasn't ever really formally met Honoka, but she has been to the enthusiastic girl's snack cart a few times, and she certainly doesn't remember her having shiny scales. Sensing that this may be the effects of a sudden evolution that the girl didn't really expect, and considering it looks a little like the Dragon type, she decides to answer the call. Her own Dragon type features are quite evident in the form of a blue spiked crest around her ears.]

Congratulations! It looks like your evolution may have surprised you a bit, though.

[She purses her lips, chews on them a little, and moves her hands from her face to set them in her lap, looking sheepish.]

That's for sure. I didn't realize people could just... Wake up as Earthkin-- er, Enlightened? I think people here call it Enlightened.

You mean you weren't before now?

[Well, that's certainly different and unexpected.]

No, I didn't have any kind of... I mean, I could talk to Pokemon.

Maybe the rest of your abilities were just... late?

[In other words, she's guessing wildly.]

It looks like you're part Dragon type, though. Those sorts of abilities run in my family. If you'd like, I might be able to teach you more about how to use them.

That's the part that's confusing me. I didn't really think that happened.

[She nods.]

That's perfectly understandable. It was a bit of a surprise for me too, even though I already had Enlightened powers beforehand. Before my second evolution, I was only aligned with the Water type, you see. The horns, wings, and claws took a bit of getting used to. I ruined so many pairs of socks until I figured out how to retract them...

...Ah I hadn't thought of that.

[She looks off-screen, presumably at her feet.]

[Lenna winces preemptively, hoping that glance from Honoka isn't accompanied by the sound of ripping fabric.]

Ah... I made you think about it, I'm sorry.

[She may not be wearing socks or shoes by this point, really, so she can look at her scaly feet.]

...I mean I have to think about it sometime, better sooner than later.

[She's still looking off-screen, raising and wiggling her feet.]

That's true. If it helps, your scales are very pretty.

[Even over a black and white feed, she can see how they're shimmering.]

[Right, there's no color yet. I forget these things. Regardless, Honoka's skin darkens a little.]

...Ah, thank you.

[I forget all the time too. Geez, Engineers, get on that already.]
