A Safe Return

As the people of Union begin to trickle back into the City with the Enhanced in tow, the support teams are on hand to provide any immediate aid and attention that may be needed. Though none of the Enhanced seem keen on the thought of being returned to Gigas, they reluctantly adhere to any promises or reassurances given them - at least, long enough for Rory and Crystal to administer some sedatives and some basic psychiatric medicine to calm them down from their traveling supply. On their part, the representatives of Team Evolution can often be seen conducting quiet conferences, possibly working to push through approval for their plans of providing better facilities for treating the Enhanced outside of Gigas.

As the week comes to a close, many of the successfully returned Enhanced may be found in Union undergoing treatment or being chaperoned by members of Team Evolution. They are, however, free to conduct conversations and receive visitors as they please.

Sakina

Sakina had calmed considerably as she walked back into Union, a certain blonde slung over her shoulder and a second blond held by the back of his shirt. Both would appear dead if not for the pained groaning. Dumping them unceremoniously on the ground, she snorts a bit disdainfully.

"The people of Union could use more stringent exercise regimens."

That taken care of, she walks off to find Dr. Verdine and get properly medicated. She'll be around Union after that.

[A teddy bear rolls in about 5 minutes later on the back of an indignant eggbird and concernedly sticks a honeyed paw down Lucas's mouth. Honey fixes everything.]

Prisca

After some very encouraging prodding from a number of people, Prisca was convinced to come above ground to seek treatment. While not nearly as far gone as some of her other comrades, she has been given something to suppress her empathetic tendencies.

She's also been cleaned up a bit, and given new clothes--the ones she had previously were in a sorry shape. Taking to fussing over some of the other Enhanced, she can be found in a few other places, namely Ninetales Vale and, interestingly enough, the Swords training grounds.

Martin isn't in pain anymore, thankfully, but he has been put on restricted activity for a few days. Not bed rest, but he isn't allowed to go walking like he would like to find and check up on Prisca.

So he convinced the nurses to give him a wheelchair. He can push himself around and if he gets too tired, either Brigadier or Tiria can wheel him around. Problem solved.

He manages to catch Prisca near the training grounds. "There you are."

Watching two trainees with rapt interest, she did not seem to notice Martin until he spoke. Jumping a bit, she turned, smiling somewhat apologetically. "Martin. You were looking for me? I hadn't realized."

She blinked a few times, surprised at the state that he was in. "Are you all right?"

[It had been a rough few days for Matthias, physically and emotionally speaking. He'd had to come to grips with a fair few things mentally as well as the giant bruise that had formed on his side, but after some quiet contemplation, he'd pulled through just fine. Today he had insisted that he get at least SOME exercise to keep himself from going stir crazy, so with staff in hand and a limp in leg, he'd gone off to talk through his remaining feelings with Methuselah and returned feeling a lot better and with a few more thermos' of soup.

He figured even if he couldn't participate, his next stop should be the training grounds...even if only so he could watch a few sparring matches, just to keep his mind sharp. Surprisingly, he noticed a familiar face there, one that made him crack a smile as he approached, though he was only able to give her a wave once he was properly stopped and leaning on his staff.]

Miss Prisca? Have you been well since we last met?

[ Prisca turned, offering the younger man a bit of a smile. You looked well, all things considered. She didn't seem to shrink away or avert her eyes from him, so the pain blockers she was given must have been working. ]

Matthias was it? I have been. And you? How are you feeling?

Ah, Prisca. You can never get through Ninetails Vale without a visit from the local head teacher.

Prisca's a new face, and Maya's not about to let her pass by upon seeing her. Sure, she's probably out for some reason-- but there's time to talk, now that things have calmed down..

"Hey," Maya calls, approaching Prisca as gently as she could (which, after all that stress, was even easier than usual.) "So, I heard you've got some ghost connections."

Prisca

Given Maya's typing, she would have no trouble seeing Prisca's companion at her side. A young boy--seven or eight, from the looks of it--walked beside her, form translucent. The two appear to be talking as they move through the district.

Hearing someone call out to her, the redhead turned, followed by her friend. Maya will get a bit of a smile from the Enhanced. "Ah, yes. I do. Why do you ask?"

The boy gives Maya a look. You're dressed funny. His voice is normally silent, but, considering her spirit medium training, she may be able to understand him on a very basic level.

Down in the old city, when they'd first met Prisca...Ichigo had been somewhat silent, pensive. Despite beginning to move past the death he remembered, the Old City still caused a deep uneasiness inside of him. Looking back on it, now back up in Union...it was like he knew he'd been down there too long in the past.

But now, back in the light of day...as Ichigo goes to the Swords training grounds to check up on his fellow recruits (although a lot of them didn't know the first thing about fighting, which was understandable but frustrating), he's more obviously relaxed. There's the habitual scowl on his face, of course - but as he notices the girl, his expression lightens and he makes his way over to her.

"Prisca!"

Jochem sat on the sidelines, watching the trainees go about their usual drills, his fists balled up at his sides. This was something of a treat for him, and while the others had told him that they weren't heroes when they were in the Old City, he could draw his own conclusions.

Prisca also seemed to be watching with quite a bit of interest, a hand curled at her lips.

The familiar voice knocked her out of her immediate train of thought, and the young woman turned, meeting him with a bit of a smile herself. Jochem looked over her shoulder and jumped up to his feet. Hey, it's that really tall sword guy!

Naomi

The girl with the prodigious telepathic powers required a bit more assistance before she could be allowed out in the city, but a sufficient amount of some sort of neurotransmitter inhibitor had done the trick. The overwhelming flood of thoughts has been reduced to a background static, and while she's still not entirely comfortable, she can at least stay in a city without completely losing control.

Naomi can be found wherever there are fountains in the city, casually playing with the water to create beautiful streams of liquid in the air. ...Someone also seems to have loaned her a set of pink earmuffs.

[ It was nice to see the girl having fun instead of suffering. Also whoever gave her those earmuffs had the right idea, they were pretty cute. Still obviously fatigued from their "adventure", she wears it well--although the psychic could probably still tell she had a lingering headache.

Coeus, floating behind Nozomi, waved pleasantly. He was a polite bubble child. ]

The representative of Team Evolution isn't often seen out and about, but on occasion, he will dine in a restaurant near his lodgings with sheaths of paper all over his single table. He seems increasingly exhausted as each day passes, but somewhat oddly, increasingly more cheerful as well. Some nights, he will even take a few moments to sit on a bench and appreciate the stars.

Things were turning out much better than his dire warnings might have indicated.

[ After returning from the Forest Shrine, Elly immediately went back to work, taking up as many shifts as she could to make up for her absence. After a particularly late night, she decided to cut through the park on her way back, not expecting to see a somewhat familiar face. ]

[ She was curious if he might recognize her. He seemed the sort that would. ]

Crystal

For the most part, the "good" doctor has been preoccupied, taking care of the Enhanced as they slowly filtered back into the city. There was no rest for the wicked, after all. However, once things begin to slowly die down, Crystal can be found both with or without Sakina, usually in the business or university districts.

Evenings will be spent at more high-class establishments, usually with some kind of drink nearby, and drowning in paperwork.

Kuon

Kuon had needed encouragement to come into Union at all, but with the promise of proper treatment and a way towards the ocean, the gigantic woman had eventually agreed. Under the condition that she be left near a fountain until it was time to go. This kept her under control enough to not need a constant deluge of water around her. Fountains are nice, it turns out, and they're less prone to causing floods.

Passersby and curious will find the cybernetic looking titan seated in the middle of the fountain with a Slowking, the two of them splashing one another with happy expressions. Anyone caught nearby may even find themselves tagged as part of the game as the aquakinetic Steel type gets more into the game.

[ Hey, does that green-haired girl passing by look familiar? It takes her a moment before she notices the game of aquatic tag going on; honestly, she probably would have missed it had she not been splashed. ]

Hey, who did--Kuon!

[ She smiles brightly, laughing a bit. ]

What are you doing? You're not supposed to play in those!

Florian

[Those who encountered Florian in the Forest Grove may not even recognize him at this point. It's a bit hard to mingle in society when you're gripped with the persistent terror that someone will see your face, or that you will see your own face. Knowing quite well what will set him off, he's taken to wearing an elaborate mask and cloak combination - much like what is seen in the icon, except pinker.

He's recognizable, though, by virtue of the Team Evolution escort that has the lucky duty of taking him to the shopping district. Florian spends the trip ranting and raving and barking orders as he complains about what passes for fashion in this backwoods hicktown. His handlers mostly trade exasperated looks and eyerolls, but at least Florian isn't attacking anyone.

Sometimes, however, he can be found in a secluded area of one of Union's parks - mask off and sitting around the other side of a tree in the shade, gently speaking with and carefully grooming one of his Pokemon. Approach with care so he has time to cover his face, but this seems to be a much gentler Florian than usual.]

Florian

[Eiji was fond of parks. He often lived in them when he didn't have a set dwelling. His first week back in Union had been spent in this very same park before he'd gotten back in contact with Rei.]

[He catches sight of Florian out of the corner of his eye and ponders a moment before deciding to approach. Given what happened at the forest shrine, he makes his steps heavy to alert the Enhanced of his approach. Not ...that you could miss someone like him by any means. Given that he's a complete mess of colors, patterns, and things that had no business being matched together on top of being covered with purple scales.]

[ Elly had taken to walks in the park lately--it was fun to people and pokemon watch, and, more, it had become a habit after she started jogging with Fei and Snorlax somewhat regularly. It wasn't uncommon to see people sitting on the benches, but, recognizing Florian right away, his appearance very... striking.

She made sure to make her presence known, keeping her gaze just barely lowered so as to not offend. Elly didn't speak just yet, giving the man an out just in case he wanted nothing to do with her. She did smile in acknowledgement, at least. ]

Gino

A bit late to the party, Gino was deposited into Union whether they wanted him or not (they probably didn't). After some rather hefty medicating to counteract some of his more megalomaniac tendencies, there was only so much they could do about the giant black eye and puffy face, except for maybe laugh at him behind his back.

So, like a puppy that doesn't think he's done anything wrong, Gino could be found pouting in various places around the city, occasionally nursing an ice pack to his poor, shattered face.

Well here's someone approaching him without any reservations. She even waves as she approaches, her medical kit being carried by, of all things, a little baby Budew.

"Gino?"

After the medication, Lyn doesn't seem all that much different. She is still strutting around like she owns the place, still wearing full plate armor, and still talking to the doll strapped securely to her side.
