The Labyrinth of the Full Moon
With the thick mists upon them and people being hurtled between worlds, Union was certainly abuzz with rumors and concerns. Much had been tried, but nothing had managed to willfully bridge the gap between the world of dreams and the world of mortals. But on this night, a sense of anticipation was palpable. Something was going to happen. And, at the stroke of midnight, something did.
The moon, which had stood gibbous in the night sky, suddenly became full. Shining a gentle beam of light down onto the earth, its reflection shone clearly and brightly upon the nearby lake. And here it would stay. In the morning, no sun rose. The sky remained dark but the shine of the moon lit the city of Union in an eerie glow.
Those who travel to the lake shrine will find that where the moon shines, the waters have parted. A sturdy stone staircase descends into the depths of the lake, with moonlight shining upon it like a spotlight.
Those with the courage to enter will have to step into the darkness. Once their foot crosses the threshold they will find their world turned upside down as they are overtaken. When they awaken, they will find themselves besides some companions, perhaps known, perhaps not, and surrounded by a shimmering haze, an enormous maze of shifting walls and colors with no end in sight.
Welcome to the Labyrinth of the Full Moon.
[OOC: All plot logs for people in the Real World will occur here. Please make the first post with all the names of the people in your group in the subject line so people know where to post. Mod responses will come about once every 24 hours as long as at least one person has posted.
The group listings are here. We will not be running randomizers anymore, but you may still sign up with a full group of at least three if you can find one and tag in. Keep in mind though that the log may not be finished depending on when it is posted. You may also hop in an existing group as long as all existing group members give permission and the group is not full.]

Hiccup, Lute, Rin Hoshizora
Anyone get the name of that Rhyhorn that hit me?
[Toothless himself gives a woozy growl.]

[Rin is in the same boat with Hiccup on having more curiosity than common sense. Then again, she somehow heard that and just woke up with her head hurting from waking up that quickly and it's annoying. At least her Zeni the Blastoise is by her side.
Getting the chance to look around her, however...]
Wow... I didn't know there was a place like this under the shrine!
no subject
[Lute pulls himself up and gingerly rubs his head. That hypothetical Rhyhorn has certainly been busy. Cadenza, his Gardevoir, is looking around in concern.
Taking in his surroundings, he can't help but wonder if they are in fact still near the shrine. It's entirely possible they've been transported elsewhere. Only one way to find out though...]
It is unexpected. Shall we have a look around?
[It's a shame really. Exploring a place like this would be a lot more exciting if he were doing so on his own terms. As it is, this situation strikes him as potentially problematic.]

[She pulls herself up from her spot, dusting her clothes off before helping Zeni back on his feet. It's pretty, but there is a small feeling in her gut that something is going to happen.]
I guess we should explore. It's boring if we just sit here all day after all!

The floor vanishes under the group and they all drop for an indeterminate amount of time before landing on the ground in a bare room. There's a ball symbol split in two with one half white and one half red inscribed on the ground on the ground which is covered in a sheet of ice. The room appears to be artificial, with two giant stone doors on either side that are closed.

Okay, so, new rule: no insulting the possibly haunted maze.

[It's okay, Zeni just recalls back into his shell and he braces the impact. He has a shell of steel and well, more of a defensive type. Might have cracked the ice a bit, but the big guy is fine.
Rin, however, is quick on climbing off of Toothless and knocking on Zeni's shell.]
You okay, Zeni-zen-zen?
[The turtle just groans when he pop his head back out, but he's fine.]
He's A-Okay! But uh... Where are we now?
no subject
Thanks.
[He's also relieved that Zeni seems to be okay. He shakes his head at Rin's question.]
No way to tell. But it looks like we're meant to pick a door. Any preference?
[Honestly they don't have enough information yet to do any better than guess which is the better path.]

They don't seem to notice the team at all, in fact, if the team looks at each other they might notice they all seem a bit ghostly, although they can hear, touch, and communicate with each other as normal.
no subject
[While helping her friend up from the ground, she quick to go silent when she heard footsteps. They don't seem to notice her or the boys with her. Are they in someone's dream?
Rin grabs on to one of Zeni's hands to hold on to, looking back and forth between the boy and woman. Her voice is now a whisper.]
Um... Does anyone recognize these two?
no subject
Never seen them before in my life.
[The teen studies the area.]
Y'know, that circle on the floor looks like one of the Pokeballs Team Evolution had. I wonder if this is one of the arenas they used for Pokemon battles before the war.
no subject
If that is the case, then I wonder what precisely we're looking at. The past? A memory? They don't seem like ghosts...
[Actually, all of those are fascinating possibilities... Maybe he should be taking notes.]

[Now she is pumped up because getting the chance to watch battles and the long ago past seems like a rare opportunity that many people would like to see.
She is now climbing on Zeni's shoulders for the best view possible, even if it doesn't make a big difference and the giant turtle doesn't seem to mind.]
no subject
Go Arcanine! Kick that Ice-type's butt!
...guess we're sticking around then.
no subject
Gar, gardevoir voir.... Gardev devoir. Gardevoir.
{Those poor pokemon.... Stuck in those things. Only freed to fight.}
[Well, that thought does dampen the academic interest slightly. Lute finally pulls his gaze away from the fight to give Cadenza sympathetic look.]
There's not much we can do about a battle long gone. Except learn what we can. At least you'll never need to worry about something like that.
no subject
The more perceptive of the team might sense that they are being watched intently]
no subject
Anyone else getting the feeling we're being watched?
no subject
A little?
no subject
I wish I could say I was surprised...
no subject
If you were too busy watching that I can always bring it back.
no subject
[Well, that made her jump a bit. Scared? No. Just surprised.]
Were you the one showing us that battle?
no subject
Me either. It's not like we can do anything to change the past.
24 hour advancement
Re: 24 hour advancement
As for me? That some humans from half a millenium before any of us were born were dumb, and some of them are still dumb, but the only reason I'm alive to say any of this is because of Hiccup, so I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt.
