Signal Expand
Today is finally the day. After many weeks of searching, the people of Union can rejoice as they have completed the expansion of the Warp Band signal, allowing them to move out even further into the world and rediscover its hidden wonders. The air is practically electric as people have gathered by the Signal Tower to witness the momentous event. One of the engineers steps forward, and as the crowd cheers he throws the massive switch. The Signal Tower crackles with newfound energy as an audible whirring noise can be heard. A massive radio, attached to the Signal Tower to relay some of the ambient sounds the tower is now picking up, explodes to life with a number of interesting sounds. That, however, is almost immediately drowned out as the radio picks up another broadcast.
“...SOS! This is General Brand of the city of Caldera! Calling all human civilizations! Urgent! Gigas attacking! Need help! Won’t hold out much longer! Please send aid!”
The transmission repeats until a pale engineer turns off the radio. Murmurs sweep through the crowd as several attending council members rush into the building to conduct business. Several hours later a transmission goes over the city and warp band network.
“This is the Council. We’ve analyzed the SOS and have confirmed that it is indeed a human civilization out there in need of aid. While our information on the city of Gigas is limited, it is clear that we cannot allow this travesty to continue. We aim to send aid immediately. All citizens of Union who are willing and able will be authorized to travel to Caldera. You are to move swiftly and travel light so you can get there as soon as possible.”
There is a short pause.
“Our Engineers have another marvelous invention made possible by the boosted signal technology. We call it a Warp Marker. While still experimental, the Warp Marker should allow us to sync our network with another area where the marker is placed, allowing near instantaneous travel of humans. This is limited and still highly experimental so there may still be some dangers and limitations, it was our hope to test this more thoroughly before releasing it but we feel we cannot wait. The party going to Caldera will bring one there and set it up, that some of our forces may travel more freely between the cities. The party will leave in five hours, we are accepting volunteers at the Signal Tower. Make haste, and may the Savior watch over us all.”

General Swords of The Savior [video]
Swords. This matter proves that we must, sadly look outside Union for not only the protection of it, but also our way of live and the lives of others. Obviously we are a home-defense oriented group. However the time has come to show what we can do on behalf of Union and it's citizens we serve.
I will first call for volunteers; then I will make a Command decision on whether we need more Swords to make this journey. Who will answer my call?

If not you must stay.

If you can not find another soul, and Ky or Hans plan to stay, I will take you; but as a last resort as if I do go I will need to be making plans for the force we are taking.

[He'd prefer if there was a little less green here, but Robin has been capable and responsible; things everyone will need out there.]

[ Let's be real he's been more capable than some nobles on the Swords ]

Re: General Swords of The Savior [video]
[His expression is stern, but there is the underlying current of excitement]
That being, I am concerned about rioting. I think it is best that you, I, or Hans stay, and the other two go, so that we can all coordinate that much better in case of emergency.
Re: [video]
And I suspect all the commanders feel the same.
I wouldn't deprive you of the opportunity, Ky. I've had my time out of Union, and you deserve yours, I just wish it were under less dire circumstance.
[Here, Garen smiles a bit ruefully.]
Yes, I suppose we do at that. Regardless, you and Hans shall go at least, I trust you. [Trusts you not to die on him. Come back.]

[ Hans smiles, though he gets serious pretty quickly. Anyone would be nervous after a message like that. ]
Joking aside, I'll be glad to keep an eye on any of the younger cadets, if they decide to join us. We need to make sure these people are alright.

[He nods, though Garen is glad the pleasantries are short here.]
We do, which is why I need to discuss with you as I am with Ky our best course of action; it may be best for one of the three of us to remain in Union. Though...you have brought up that yes, if the situation is dire enough we'll need every hand.
[And a pause before Garen smiles.]
It is good of you to offer to watch the younger cadets, Hans.

Of course, I'm glad to volunteer. They'll need a bit of guidance, especially if things are as hectic as they sound. A city under attack, and by the same town as those Team Evolution people... we need to keep a cool head about this if we want to get anything done properly. I'll make sure they stay on task.
[ The concern, at least, is very real. Hysteria and panic are really not the way to get anything done. ]
Perhaps we can all go initially, and see for ourselves what the situation is like there. Then if necessary, one of us can head back with some of the refugees, to assist with getting them settled down here.

[Wow, "please", those are some rare words form Asch. Unfortunately, it's unlikely that anyone would take a normal human with them on such a dangerous journey, let alone one that has already caused so much trouble. However, Asch's tone sounds confident and endearing -- he's hopeful. Just because he's never awakened as an Enlightened doesn't mean he isn't useful.. He's highly skilled with a sword, well bonded with his Pokmeon, and -- as long as his brother isn't around -- a astute solider.] --Sir.
[Don't forget your salute, Asch has been trying his damnedest not to be such a fuck up lately.]

[Normally Garen would be much harsher, but he has seen immediate improvement, so...]
Very well. Ready your equipment, and remember that we are not here for glory; but to save as many lives as we can.

What's our division, Commander? -And what time should we assemble? [It's tomorrow their folding out, right? Asch is trying not to shake in excitement like a kid in the candy store.]

[She seems like she would be saluting, if it weren't awkward to do that with the warp band on.]

Video
[What do you mean she's not a Sword officially yet]
Video
Recruit Kiryuuin, pack your supplies and be at the barracks no later than 17:00 for your temporary room assignment. You will then also be debriefed and also given a departure time as will the rest of the standard Swords. Do not be late.
Video
Yes, sir.
[And she's about to turn off the video feed, but something seems to bother her - she frowns (even more than usual) and speaks again.]
One more thing, Commander Crownguard. If it is Gigas, then there is a high probability team Evolution is involved. They are... cunning. I advise caution in our proceedings.
