Day 2 - Double evolution; action

[Today, some people on the streets of Union might encounter a rather worried-looking boy (or a young man, depending on your point of view), running around, obviously searching for something or someone. He also seems to take great care not to bump into people or touch anything metallic - and if you look closer, his hair is practically standing on end (at least the hat helps hide that) and the air sparks and crackles around him sometimes. Uh, probably it's a good idea to keep some distance away from him.

And what he's looking for is--

Nyoom!

Some other (or even the same) people on the streets of Union might be startled by something suddenly whirring past them. It's vaguely white-ish in colour and oval in shape, and--and it's a Togetic, obviously enjoyed the newly acquired Flying type. It zooms around, not paying much attention to what or who it almost bumps into - you can actually hear a kind of high-pitched... giggling? For someone who evolves with the POWER OF FRIENDSHIP, it certainly doesn't seem concerned enough with its trainer to even come near him, if you exclude zooming past him to tease him]

Ack--Togepi, come back here! Er, should I even still call her-- Togetic, come back here! We need to at least check-- yes I can see you're okay, but still! Togetic!

[... Yeah, the poor guy is getting pretty exhasperated. Everyone is welcome to help him get his Pokemon under control, help his Pokemon get MORE out of control, or just watch and laugh.]

[Ace is pretty surprised with the Togetic randomly popping up, but he smiles nonetheless]

flying sounds like it'd be a fun thing to do, and she's having fun so might as well let her for now, she has to get tired at some point.

That must have been difficult, but I think there's a way you can tell if you've evolved, though I'm not really sure how it would work or who knows for that matter

[ Haruka has an Ice-type Pokémon now. You know what that means?

It means, while she's keeping it at the theater to assess what it's like, she's buying a lot of ice. Her hands are full and her Pidgeotto's at the Breeding Center, so she's brought her Murkrow shopping with her as a spotter.

Who happens to spot a blur heading his way, but not in time to avoid getting all turned around as it whizzes past. Feathers scatter everywhere. ] Krow! Krow!

[ And now he's angry. Haruka sighs. ] Don't chase--

[ Too late. Murkrow has to give that Togetic a piece of his mind! What do you think you're doing, causing trouble for people?! ]

[... And, right on that cue, Togetic whooshes past you two again. Almost past you.

Hey Kaido hey. Know what move this evolution has? And know what being Flying type makes easier?

You get a gust of weirdly sparkly wind in your face as Togetic flies past.

Togetic used Fairy Wind?!]

[... and Atsuro's eyes widen when he sees what she uses. Reaching out to grab her in a very futile attempt, his reflexes aren't good enough]

H-Hey, Togetic! You could've hurt him! Are you okay, Kaido?!

[Fuck--he could've dodged it if it hadn't been flung a him with flying speed. He tries to shield himself, but still gets almost all of it right in his face, and he stumbles a couple of steps back, clutching at his face]

Fuck--

[He comes close, before remembering himself and drawing back - he can't even touch you to make sure you're alright, why this.]

K-Kaido, are you okay?! Floette--

[He's looking around, panicked - they could really use her help right now]

[at_too_low]

[He gives a weak laugh]

Yeah, it's all very individual, and what works for one Enlightened might not work for others... I think the general consensus is that you just know you've evolved. I just hope it calms down soon, these shocks feel like--

[And, right on cue, another jolt runs through him. He shivers a little afterwards]

... like sneezing. But very extreme and with electricity. My whole mind goes blank.

[Alas, Togetic is way too immature to listen to other people (or Pokemon)'s opinions. She flies right past Murkrow again, high speed. Yeah well what do you think you're doing, being a loser and getting in her way?]

[And, sadly, her trainer was witness to all this. He looks miserable and almost ready to sag to his knees]

Togetic! Stop--don't pick fights with people!

[ Now that it's come to this, Haruka is curious what will happen: her Murkrow started out as the worst kind of bully, so it's interesting to see him berating others' bad behavior. So she's standing there with her hands in her pockets, her pallet of ice on the ground next to her, looking serious but not concerned. As long as they don't involve any further passers-by.... ]

They'll finish up soon.

[ And sure enough, here comes Murkrow, dive-bombing Togetic to try and catch her. Want to make something of this, huh? Just you and him! Let's go! ] Krow! Murkrow!

[The speedy white blur is certainly an attention-grabber, especially when it almost plows into Mari's Swoobat. But once Mari notices Atsuro running and looking so frazzled, that seems more important.]

Atsuro? Is everything alright?

I'm fine...

[He rubs at his eyes for a few seconds, before taking his hands away--and you'll see light burns on his face. But what seems more worrying is his eyes: he's blinking them several times and they're still unfocused]

Oh for fuck's sake--

You've got burns, that's not "fine"! And-- ... are your eyes alright? W-Where's Floette, did she fly off somewhere?

Can't see shit.

[Sigh, worrying you is like the last thing he wanted to do. You need to rest, not fuss and worry over him]

She's home, I didn't bring her along...

[... guess there's no helping it. He'll get his warp band out]

[His expression grows even more panicked, before his rational mind kicks in to note that you probably wouldn't be permanently blinded by a single attack, even if it was your weakness. But, well, you can't see that anyway, so he'll use the chance to get a grip]

Y-You should've brought her... Can you operate the band like that? Do you need help?

[He tries to give his usual welcoming smile, but...]

Yeah Mari might've seen that expression on him before - he gets it sometimes when he really can't work through something and all his attempts are futile. He's looking pretty miserable, and almost ready to cry (mostly out of frustration than anything else, but)]

... It isn't. I think I'm evolving, and I can't really do anything, I keep getting-- [another shock runs through him, and he shivers and frowns] I keep getting these, I can't think straight, and Togepi evolved too, and I can't find her because she's too excited about flying now.

[Kaido? Didn't you say you were going to find Ats--]

[... oh no. Oh no no no--your face, what happened? It's all burnt :(

She's getting close and petting at his face carefully, trying to assess the damage, and cooing at the same time.

Kaido, meanwhile, is kind of blushing]
