It has been suggested that I might make a good delver, but I only have a vague idea of what the position entails. Are there any delvers that I might speak to about this? He who recommended this profession specifically mentioned a Sir Ezreal for this purpose.

It seems like most of the people in this city have Pokemon as friends. Not wanting to be left out, Morgiana has gone to see about trying to befriend one herself. You might find her in a park, where her latest efforts have her approaching a Sewaddle in a crouch, trying to look as non-threatening as possible. The Sewaddle looks up at her blankly as she slowly extends her hand towards it.

"Hello."

The Sewaddle's response is to immediately chomp down on her fingers. Morgiana flinches, then shakes the bug type off in alarm. The Sewaddle promptly escapes into the underbrush, leaving the poor girl to suck on her injured fingers.

"Ow."

By the bandages around several of her other fingers, this is not the first time today that this has happened.

It's just a scratch. I'm fine. Really.

[It's nice and all that so many people around here want to help her out, but she's starting to feel patronized. Morgiana does not like being patronized.

She puts up being sniffed at least, even if she's not hoping for much. Most Pokemon seem to dislike her at least a bit.]

[He puts away the bandages. Sure, it didn't look too bad, but he likes to be helpful to others! The Eevee tilts his head to the side curiously.]

You smell funny.

[Aster frowns at his pokemon.]

I haven't found many Pokemon who seem to like me that much.

...Does he talk?

Really? Well, he wasn't saying he disliked you. He only said that "you smell funny," which, really, could mean anything, coming from him. So, yes, they talk, but most people aren't able to understand pokemon. Some can with warp bands, I think, but I at least was born able to understand them.

[Aster shrugs, not entirely sure about the situation. Tonitrus simply lets out a nod and moves to rub against her.]

Hmm, yes, I guess it is! At least, for a trainer or pokemon researcher. If you did not interact much with pokemon, it would not be as useful, would it?

[Aster shrugs.]

That's just what he says.

[The Eevee makes a few more comments about the subject.]

...And he wants me to say that he doesn't mean it as a bad thing! You only smell different to him than other people he has smelled.

I am different from other people here, so I suppose that makes sense.

[It's kind of weird to actually have to explain it to someone. She thought everyone at least knew OF her people, but on the other hand they seemed basically unknown in Union.]

You are weaker than us. Physically.

Oh? How interesting!

[He doesn't seem bothered by this at all. After all, he does not consider himself physically strong. Being an Enlightened only increases his agility, after all.]

Who are the Fanalis?

My people. We are born to hunt and fight.

I wish I knew more about them than that, but I was taken when I was very young.

[Aster frowns. His Eevee glances up at him and tilts its head.]

So you didn't get to know your parents or anything, huh?

[He knows that feeling--at least partially. His father disappeared when he was too young to really remember much about him, anyway.]

Oh, sorry! I never introduced myself, did I? I'm Aster! I'm a pokemon researcher here in Union--and a trainer of sorts, though I haven't done much training. Yet, anyway.

Yes, training seems a difficult task.

Well, I suppose it's more difficult for some than others. For me, it's more of been the problem that I haven't bothered. It's Tonitrus there that's been pushing me to do it, actually!
