[Having received a message from a friend, Kairi's at the Breeding Center again. It's a really cool place. She'd love to work here, but she has some islands to find first. And a sister. So, for now, she's just a visitor like every other Trainer who comes through here. Cleffa clings to Kairi's shoulder, making a concerned noise.]

Jinxie said she'd be here, don't worry. And it looks like I'm a few minutes early. Hmm, I wonder what it could be?

[If this is about what she thinks it's about, Kairi just might be getting a baby 'mon of her own to raise. She's so excited that she almost can't contain it.]

[And in a few minutes, Jinxie rounds the corner. Her constant companion Dokuro the Duskull is there with her, and she's carrying a grey egg in her arms in place of Whisper.]

I hope I didn't keep you waiting for very long.

[Kairi whirls to meet her, beaming.]

It's fine, I got here early. So you got another egg after all?

[somnambulatory]

Uh huh. I had my Mankey in the Breeding Center for a few weeks, and when they gave him back, I got this egg too.

[Jinxie holds it up, smiling.]

The egg is actually for an Onix, though. I hope that's all right.

[They are kind of big and all.]

[Her eyebrow jumps up. HOW DOES THAT EVEN WORK???????????????]

Ah, that's fine! I guess I can't let it sleep in my bed, huh?

[... Definitely not recommended.]

I don't really look for certain qualities in Pokemon. I'll accept it no matter what-- after all, it's from a friend.

[Jinxie can't help but laugh just a little at the reaction.]

I think they spread the different eggs the center produces around a little so trainers can meet lots of different Pokemon.

[It's a lot more believable than a Mankey somehow producing an Onix egg. Especially a male Mankey like hers.]

I'm sure you and Onix will get to be good friends, then.

Oh... right, of course! That makes a lot more sense than... [She giggles a bit.]

Yes, definitely. I'll have to figure out what it likes to eat so I can treat it every once in a while.

[She reaches out, tentative, her excitement practically thrumming beneath her skin. She keeps it in, but her Cleffa is soooooo very interested in the BAAAABY and clambers up onto the top of Kairi's head to get a good look.]

I think they eat rocks.

[It's a decent guess, anyway. Jinxie holds out the egg for Kairi to take.]

There are probably good ones in the mountains?

(ooc: Also, before I forget - this egg will hatch on March 16th as a level 1 Onix that knows the egg move Heavy Slam. /o/)

Yeah. There's rocks in the habitat, but I don't want it to be a nuisance.

[She takes the egg carefully, cradling it to her chest as if it's the most precious thing in the world.]
