Sometimes, when people get an idea in their head they think is a good one, they don't know when to let it go.

Like, maybe at some point they felt like the HAD to absolutely be the biggest and the strongest no matter how it hurt something else to survive. And after that need was done with they just...kept going, because it worked once.
