Not trying to understand something just because it could be used to do immoral things was just putting an unnecessary restriction on yourself. Take the machines that had been recovered from the caverns; they'd nearly destroyed the city, but if they hadn't examined them then they wouldn't have been able to add video capability to the Warp Bands, or create those Technical Machines, or know that long-range communication was possible. There was no reason to be afraid of any technology. One simply needed to be careful.

No reason to be afraid of unorthodox methods. Sometimes they can get you places that orthodox ones never will. Other people might have different ideas, but I'd be interested in taking a look at your technology, no matter what it is.
