An arm is freed on the first Genesect, wiggling around to try and crack more of the ice; the Icicle Shards pin some of the would-be rescuers to the bugsicle - and Gordon's bullets dispatch a few more - but those Volcarona begin bringing the heat instead, raising the temperature (but careful not to touch anybuggy) with a Heat Wave. This does, however, discourage other types of bugs from getting too close, so Genesect is relatively without a bug shield now....

The second Genesect crackles its disapproval at being tossed a burning Hitmonchan. Fire Punch strikes true, but the bug won't go down easy; it lashes out with Slash to try and knock the Fighting-type towards Mei.
