Magnolia himself is a bit of a country bumpkin, truth be told. He stays away from most human development - by choice. He doesn't like humans all that much, but he's quite unimpressed by this hulking city with its bizarre architecture and noisy machinery. (Even if he can't hear things as well as others can, he can feel the vibrations juddering through his body well enough.)
