[Amidst all the people pouring in to aid in Union's reconstruction, one more newcomer is pretty easy to overlook. So, Suika's entry into Union goes pretty smoothly. The next day is where things get fun.

First step, when she arrives as the sun is setting, is to find anyone who's having a good time and join in. This eventually leads to step two, getting into Teeter's, which takes some doing given her appearance but is far from impossible. Being in Teeter's quickly leads to step three, getting into her first meeting with the Swords for reasons pertaining to bar brawling. The rest is a blur.

Whatever happened from there, it ends the next morning (ish) with Suika at the front doors of Swords of the Savior headquarters, or at least the first Swords-related building she can find.]

It's me, the person from the bar! I'm here to talk to your strongest fighter, so who's that?

[[Accepting threads at any part of this adventure - entering the city, extreme Teeter's revelry, getting harassed by the Swords, harassing the Swords the following day.]]

Morgiana isn't the type who spends her time at bars, but that hardly matters when the bar fight gets big enough to spill out the bar's front doors and into the street, getting innocent bystanders caught in the madness. One minute, she had been walking home, minding her own business, the next someone had upended a mug of beer over her head. One thing led to another from there, and before she really knew what was going on she had someone held over her head, ready to throw them at a table.

How did this happen again?

Oh, you can't miss him. Big guy, wears lots of armor, carries a huge sword. Goes by Garen Crownguard.

[Martin is walking out of the HQ (he's retired, but he doesn't mind helping in times like this) when the loud girl walks up and yells. He blinks]

That's a loaded question.

During her moment of hesitation, Suika drops someone else on the table she was about to throw someone at, resting both elbows on his back as she regards Morgiana.

"Hey, you're pretty good at this! Do you get in a lot of bar fights? Most of these guys are amateurs."

Really? I was betting it'd be the girl with red hair who threw a guy at me last night.

Is he here? I wanna see him.

[partyfog]

You must have at least some idea, right? You don't just get a bunch of warriors into one place and not have them figure out who the strong ones are.

I mean, if there's a few people who are pretty close, I don't mind talking to all of them.

[warriormouse]

[Martin shakes his head]

No, that's not it. All of the Swords have different skills and while there's usually one who's the best, say, martial artist they might lose to one of the sword users. There isn't one "strongest" member.

All right, best martial artist. That makes it easier, right?

[warriormouse]

[He laughs a bit]

If I were still with the Swords, maybe. I know who it was two years ago, but you'd have to ask the Swords themselves. There is a dojo, though, if you're not set on...talking to or fighting the Swords.

Maybe later. Do you think there's a group with stronger fighters than the Swords around here?

[warriormouse]

The Calderans, if they're interested in fighting. They're more militaristic than Union is. Why do you want to know?

To fight them, obviously.

[warriormouse]

...I thought as much.

[He was kind of hoping he was wrong]

I really doubt that the Swords would be interested in a fight with a random, uh, bar patron, but you might find someone interested. Or, like I said, with the Calderans.

Why wouldn't they be interested in fighting? You don't stay good at something by not doing it.

[warriormouse]

They usually train against each other, not whoever walks in. They don't mind training against me, since I was one until I died.

[partyfog]

So they have lots of fighting skills, but they won't share them with anyone but each other? What a frustrating group.

[warriormouse]

The Swords are meant to protect. If they want to spar against whoever, they'll do it at a dojo or festival. Union's not very fond of violence.

[partyfog]

All right, if I don't have any luck here I'll go find this dojo. Thanks for the help!

[Martin smiles]

If you want to try against a swordsman, once everything is more...repaired, I might have time for a spar.

I'm no good with a sword, but I'll still fight you later if you want. Where will I be able to find you?

Redwall, the big redstone building in the housing district. I'm Martin.

I'm Suika. You've probably figured it out by now, but I just showed up here yesterday.

I think I'll still try to challenge the Swords for now, but let's fight some time.

That'll be fun, I think, once everything is back to normal, more or less.

She tossed the poor man to the side (Gently! Or at least as gently as you can bodily throw someone.).

"N-no! I don't usually go to bars."

[ Why this? There's a big guy in the building, yes. He's not wearing lots of armour or carrying a huge sword right now because he's not y'know, trying to beat anyone's face in. ]
