After months of trying to understand the spunky and sometimes moody Fairy-type, Waver felt like he had finally had a breakthrough in understanding-- and he knew how easily people could get lost in the wilderness as well. Inexperienced and preoccupied with staying warm as he was, Waver maintained enough presence of mind to keep tabs on the faces he recognized. Merrill, Yuuna, and Feliks were all friends. Isabela was a disconcerting but seemingly good natured individual who had helped him during his first weeks in Union. But Fai, for all of his jokes and games, was a complete mystery. Though he was just as infuriating to be around as Feliks could be, Waver was having a hard time understanding how much was a joke and how much was said in utter seriousness.
And, not trusting the mentality of a person who had been estranged from civilization for over a year, Waver decided to grab his Vulpix and attempt to tail Fai.
