[Gordon frowns, heading for the door that marks the exit from the roof. He opens it up and steps through, even as his younger self rises from his seated position, walking towards the blonde woman. The tense sound is undeniable now, a constant tone right at the edge of hearing, Rex whining at the pain of it.]

Once through the door, the cave is once again a cave, no sign of having ever been a stairwell. Impossibly, though, there's a door at the end of this particular tunnel.]
