[ it doesn't take long for Lux to find him. the tunnel that Jack took is scoured with ice and frost all the way down, some of it in patches where he had thrown attacks at the shadows. and as soon as it opens to another cavern, there is Jack, standing statue-still - as he probably has been for a while, given that he is covered in hoarfrost and crystallising patches of hard, jagged ice. his staff is clutched to his chest in both hands with a desperate force.
