[There's a familiar face that pops up on the warp band, although it's been a while since Kyouko found herself in Union. She doesn't look much different. A bit dirtier, maybe. Wandering unexplored lands training and in search of her adversary was not exactly a vacation.]

It's been a while, Union. [While she looks relaxed, there's just a tiny edge to her voice, like she really doesn't want to be here.]

I'm lookin' for someone. [She's not going to beat around the bush.]

Thought I saw her on the band when I stopped in Caldera not too long ago. Blonde hair in two like, twisty formations. [She takes her ponytail and twists it into the approximation of one of Mami's drills.] Too nice for her own good. She's from Citadel. Anyone seen her?

[The good news is, Mami is paying attention when she sees the message. The bad news is, despite Kyouko's comments, this is complicated for Mami. As is typical for her, she downplays it. When she sends a message, she is smiling.]

[Politely. There's an unspoken, but very real tension there.]

Ah... Sakura. It's been awhile, hasn't it?

[Because she left when she found out that Mami is a Valkyrie. And she hasn't forgiven her for it.]

[Kyouko on the other hand, isn't smiling. If anything, she seems even more tense than before. Why was she doing this again?]

So it was you. [As if she hadn't been sure already.]

A little out of your territory, aren't ya?

The higher ranking Valkyries would like to know more of Union, especially given recent events. And... cooperation. So, no, I wouldn't say I am.

[The smile's gone and Mami, for all that she can keep up an act, is slipping.]

...What are you doing here?

They should just stick to their tree. It's all they're good at anyway.

[Kyouko only ever visited the Citadel itself twice, and the second was only to retrieve something. She grits her teeth a bit, but she doesn't beat around the bush.]

Hunting.

Oh, do you perhaps mean Miss Mami?

Yeah, you know her?

We -- [She stresses the word.] -- are quite good at many things. I assure you.

[Her expression sours further.]

Does your hunting go well?

Heh.

[That's a pretty dry, humorless laugh.]

Think I'd be here if I'd found it?

We've only really spoken briefly, so not as well as I would like, but yes! I believe she only arrived here last month.

That recent, huh?

[So she's still a newbie to the area. That's something, at least.]

Guess you wouldn't know where she tends to hang out, then.

Hey, long time no see.

[Chie smiles, waving into the feed.]

Do you mean Mami?

...No.

[The wild Pokemon that killed her parents. That attacked Kyouko and her family. They never managed to find it. It's the last thing that Mami wants to remember -- it brings her parents' deaths to mind -- and yet...]

What will you do? After you find it, Sakura?

Yeah, it's been a while.

[She'd never intended to come back, though.]

Yeah, you seen her?

That should be pretty obvious by now.

[It's the only reason she learned to fight. She wouldn't be powerless again.]

I'm gonna kill it.

Yeah, I took her out for noodles the other day. I didn't know you two knew each other. Makes sense, though, I guess. You're both from Citadel, right?

Something like that.

[Kyouko doesn't really associate herself much with the treehuggers. She may be from there, but she certainly isn't one of them.]
