The resistance has existed for as long as Gigas has held Sanctuary. We used to use the tunnels under the city as a means of exit, but recently, Gigas has been cracking down on our activities and sealed off the tunnels. It was only a matter of time before they were able to squelch our activities, but the quake proved quite serendipitous.
